Should have received a big elections booklet.
Has a lot of information about judges and such.
Talk to locals about the judges as there are some real assholes.

As far as ballot measure 1 regarding the Constitutional Convention I'm voting YES.  The no on 1 campaign is being funded by special interests and lefty organizations in a HUGE way.  If you can make the time, listen to State Senator Mike Shower talk about it.  Mike Shower is awesome.  Very conservative, former F22 pilot, gun nut, and all-around great guy.

I always vote no on all the judges.  This State is hopelessly corrupt, and the judges are probably the worst.  The way they get installed is different in Alaska and the Judicial Branch is FULL of leftists.

If we get the Constitutional Convention, we might finally have a shot at fixing the selection process for the judges too.

I've been out of touch for a while, but I always voted NO on every judge.  No judge, as far as I know, has ever been denied retention by ballot.  

I'm cautious by nature, and the idea of a constitutional convention scares me.  If it comes down to getting rid of the Judicial Counsel and their lock on judicial appointments I am all for it.

the judicial council is not exactly a non partisan group.  They even used taxpayer money to buy ads to retain that loathsome Sen Tan as a judge.

I read through the Judges' statements in the pamphlet.  This is Alaska!  Only 2 of the Judges listed hunting in their "SPECIAL INTERESTS:" and only 1 other listed shooting.

I remember when a case for Thompson/Center firearms went to USSC and Sandra O'Connor had to explain to some of the other justices the difference between rimfire and centerfire.
