I wouldn't worry much about headspace issues, if you have quality components that's almost never a problem.

Built my first about 4 years ago, not even close to being an expert, but glad to help if I can. I am in the south metro area but have hunting property near Ft Valley and go down at least once a month.
First, you will make mistakes, I made many at least twice. Get good tools, they can make a world of difference - like Knipex pliers. Glad to help or loan tools if needed, but see that others more experienced than I have offered to help. |

Honestly, I'm too cheap to buy a complete upper or lower.......Just finished pocketing 10 80% lowers , found at least a dozen LPK's in the big clean, and I know I can make as good or better barrels than i can buy

Mehhhh headspace smeadspace! Torque it till it lines up between 30 and 80 lbs and you are good to go.
