Prosecutors: 3 people, including a child and suspect, killed in a shooting last night in Newark  

The shooting suspect is one of the three people confirmed dead, according to Newark Mayor Ras Baraka.

Baraka released a statement Wednesday calling the shooting “tragic” and saying the city has to work harder to come together to deal with issues surrounding mental health, drug abuse, anger and conflict.
“This is why we have to continue our commitment to the Office of Violence Prevention and Trauma Recovery and the ecosystem we built to remove the conditions of violence before they result in this kind of trauma. I offer my prayers and condolences to all the families involved,” he said.

It's incredible that there is NO call to ban guns!

Because it’s nj, there’s already a growing ban list and it’s only matter of time.

I'd like to think that people are starting to realize it's not the guns but the criminals misusing them.
