Beautiful pics man. Good to see some Deer & Turkeys up there. It seems like Elk have taken over the whole damn state.

If the weather clears I'm going to visit the valley of fires later today. I was driving back from Albuquerque here to Alamogordo yesterday and passed through there. It requires further investigation.

Ya, it's a beautiful area. Tons of forest roads to go down. Went a few Mike's down one road, and it got really rough and didn't seem to going anywhere, so turned around. When we got turned around, I decided to stop and take a leak. Found this stuff laying out in the forest (I forgot to snap a pic out in the forest, just brought it home and cleaned it up. Some unit was doing a land nav course out there at some point. I took as just a cool memento of my kids and I journey.)

Edit: to say, I haven't been to the Valley of Fires since I was a kid. Let us know how it is these days. Can't imagine its changed to much. Just lava rocks out there.
