Had a busy morning at longview. Guess everyone came in from the rain. Think I did well. Wound up with an american derringer version of the hi standard derringer in 38 and got rid of stuff I'll never use. Fun time had by all it seems. Now to get something to eat..... |

Heads up if you're in the D/FW area of N Texas & like revolvers. A long time S&W collector recently passed away, and his ammo business buddy has been selling off his collection for the widow. Saw a nice M1917 priced at $1500 today.

I did a new post about the Gun Show this weekend before I saw this Post, oh well. I will be there and I am hoping to find a Springfield Armory SA35 Highpower at MSRP, if possible. I will be wearing a green Dallas Stars hat/cap. Haven't been to a gun show for 2 years so I hope to not be disappointed with prices and availability of products.

Updated the OP w/ your search. It's the Premier FW Will Rogers show, so the largest in D/FW, and one of the largest in Texas, if not the largest. You should be able to find something that tickles your fancy. Take cash and don't eat the BBQ. Go to Railhead for BBQ.

My wife and I went to Waxahachie on Sunday, there was a PCP air rifle dealer there and I wanted to look at the FX guns he had. Lot's of handguns, lots of AR stuff, saw maybe one SKS, don't remember seeing an AK, a few tables with WWII bolt actions, but nothing super desirable. Close parking, police didn't hassle me, we pre-ordered tickets, went right in, walked the whole thing in 45 minutes. Saw a handgun we wanted from one of the local dealers. Picked it out, waited 5 minutes for the dealer to have an open chair, then the dealer set me down at their tables with 4 other guys, asked for my CHL and I filled out the paperwork. Gave the guy my credit card and was done in like 5 more minutes, the guy thanked me for having my shit together.
Super easy, didn't feel like I was dealing with the Dallas/Mesquite BS. Probably not as much stuff there as the last Mesquite show I went to but whatever. I'm getting older, I don't need the drama. |
