And the loser will be the English Language.

I wish the Republicans could have put up someone more intelligent than Walker. He will not do well in a debate, and rely on platitudes... We should have a over under on the times he will say "radical" or "socialist"..... Extemporaneous speech is not his strength, kind of like Biden, but Biden has an excuse, he is senile.

I hope he wins,  as I think Warnock is a self righteous commie, but the Republicans should have done better.

They will be entertaining... and probably won't change anyone's mind.

That's 100pct my take also. I think the Republicans are playing a very dangerous strategy by going with name recognition and nothing else. He's got zero substance, refuses to debate and won't take questions from the media unless they're spoon fed. 2 weeks ago, he was 10pts behind Warnock, post Roe. 3 days ago, he had a very slim (2pt) advantage over Warnock.

Warnock is a silver tongue pastor (if we still want to call him that) that appeals to people and will eat Walkers lunch in a debate. Walker comes off as a buffoon where you really don't know where he stands. Even if Walker wins, I have a feeling he'll vote whichever way his advisers/backers tell him to - so we're not getting the best person to represent GA in the Senate regardless.

Agreed, the debates won't help/hurt really any candidate. I keep hearing that Walker is very intelligent from people that know him well, that might be the case but he doesn't seem to be very good at talking off the cuff. He wasn't my choice but I do think he'll win.

Looks like the tide is slightly turning for Walker in the polls.  Still tight.  And polls are no longer reliable.  So make what you will of it.

Just saw this spicy story about Warnock avoiding taxes, typical Democrat. This should be part of a big ad campaign if it isn't already, I rarely watch any TV so I don't have to suffer through much of it.

And I knew people that said DT would win in a "landslide" in the last election. Walker may win, but it won't be in the "kick his ass" territory. Today's politics means that he'll likely just eek it out.

I understand the realities of the current situation.

What you call a "rally cry" is refuting the lies spouted by liberals.

Is that against the rules?

Exactly. All we can do is piss and moan about what "it was" and not what "it is". If it was that obvious that it was a "landslide", there would be a lot more evidence than the shoddy stuff that seemingly gets touted out as evidence.

Since we're making references, Donald Trump certainly has plenty of "useful idiots" to carry his water for him without checking what's in the bucket first.

While I voted for him both times, anybody that can't see how Trump's ego on his sleeve and his divisiveness were contributing factors to a loss, certainly falls into that category. Do I think there were things that needed to be checked out more? Yes. Do I think that there was so much irregularity (especially enough to overturn a "landslide") that it tilted an election in the favor of the Democrats? No. Do I think that incumbent politicians have played the game to tilt things in their favor? Absolutely - and Democrats are better at it than the Republicans since they appeal to the emotions of idiots that can vote, where we wave around a piece of paper (Constitution, rule of law, etc). With that said, watching elections since 2000 specifically, but even for longer than that - the idea that anybody wins in a "landslide" in today's world is laughable. The reality is that both parties have to fight for the last few percentage points to put them above the 50pct mark. I'm curious about 2024 and that it may actually be different considering how bad Biden seems to be doing. I'm sure you'll continue to tell us all sorts of other BS and that we're just too blind to see it - oh well. It's funny that while it's typically those on the right that scream about "woke" culture, the reality is that there are just as many "woke" folks on the right side of the political spectrum as there are on the left.

Herschel Walker is a flawed candidate and I think it was a bad idea for the Georgia GOP to push him as the frontrunner. Let's face it, the name recognition and color of his skin were bigger factors in his nomination than his long held political beliefs, especially considering who he's running against. The GOP realizes that they need to do everything possible to reverse the idea that Georgia is now a purple state and to boot Warnock - which I sure hope happens. But I feel that Herschel will be like Joe Biden but with less dementia - he'll be an empty suit that does what his advisers tell him. Hopefully those advisers espouse libertarian/conservative values, because when it comes to Herschel and topics like gun control, etc. - I've no reason to trust him at the moment.

A good moderator facilitates discussion and doesn't attempt to belittle opinions other than theirs. That smacks of agenda.

I'll take a guess that Lawman works in property, not a detective, because Stevie Fuckin Wonder could see the shenanigans with the Georgia election. They had it on video for christssake. Check out D’Souza's movie, maybe you'll learn something.

Breaking out the insults now? Classy. Ahh yes, refer to more media designed to manipulate people. Never mind the fact that a number of claims in D'Souza's movie has been not just refuted, but outright disproven. Let me guess, there might be some things wrong but everything else is spot-on? It's pretty clear that our side of the aisle has a lot of low information voters too......

Anyway, let's hear about how great ol' Herschel is and how you think he'll also win by a "landslide", but the "dang'd ol' government" is gonna keep another "conservative" voice quiet, right? Maybe he barely wins, but that's by design so that nobody thinks that Georgia is a bastion of conservatism?

Is this dude in here STILL barking up the same (WRONG) tree?

Jesus H. Christ.  Listen up fella, not sure how many times you can attempt to pick a fight with folks who agree with you.....but you must be going for some kind a record.

If you want, be a keyboard warrior for the cause and go shitpost on Reddit.  Plenty of folks over there still need convincing.

No?  Ok, then get outside, get some fresh air, go for a hike, hug your neighbor, enjoy your god given freedom to do so.

Holy shit balls. Got to love how someone who’s been around here a whole 2 years starts giving advice on what a moderator should be here.

Time to move on from 2020. It’s 2022.

Time to move on from Trump. Even tho I voted for him twice, I don’t want to see him return to the fray. He lives in too many people’s heads for free, including your’s obviously.

Give it a rest. We can’t change the past.
Relax a little. Drink a beer. Lower your BP and stop with all the stolen election stuff.
Stop dwelling on shit you can’t change. In the long run you’ll be happier.

Wait, doesn't to left think abortion is good? So according to their rules he did a good thing footing the bill for a downtrodden young woman's abortion.  They should welcome him in to the Democratic party with open arms.

While the quotes from his son are damning I've seen why too many family situations where I can't take his side outright.

Additionally I don't care if walker is a good family man or not, I care if he votes the way I want.

They have to make it seem plausible when they cheat the vote and Warnock wins.  I think Herschel wins by 10% + of the actual vote.  Perhaps too much for them to get away with cheating.  Dekalb, Fulton and Richmond counties will stop counting votes around 10pm to access their options.

In tight races we usually toss votes to the R, just to stop the D, but not this time. L it is, as the R candidate is offensively shitty, and is half a step away from Dwayne Elizondo Mountaindew Herbert Camacho.

Yes you did.  You lent me a .308 no-go gauge set, which I returned quickly.  :)  I thanked you warmly for it and offered to help you in any way you might need.  Still thankful.  I was a libertarian then, too.
I've been a libertarian throughout HTF shoots, feeding HTF guys brisket, fixing HTF people's stuff, helping with HTF member's crazy home projects, trying to help to get one of our best guys out of jail, and doing what I could to help one of us when they lost their sight.  I'll still keep doing those things.
During all that time, and in the future, despite being a libertarian, if the race was tight, and R needed a vote pretty bad, I did it, and talked my wife and kids into it as well.  I'll definitely keep doing that in the future, and in some races, I will do it this year, too.
I'm just not going to vote for this one guy.  If that makes me an HTF enemy, I'd be a little bummed, but I'd know something I didn't know before.
