After meeting with Trump, Georgia’s Vernon Jones likely to exit GOP gubernatorial primary
A likely announcement by gubernatorial candidate Vernon Jones that he’s dropping out of Georgia’s GOP primary could come as early as Friday. Two Republican sources familiar with the situation told Fox News on Wednesday that after meeting last week with Donald Trump and being offered the former president’s backing if he instead runs for Congress or another statewide office, Jones is currently "weighing his options." And they add that an announcement by the former Democratic state lawmaker turned Republican, who was a top Black surrogate for Trump in Georgia in the 2020 presidential election, could come between Friday and Monday. Jones, who launched his 2022 gubernatorial campaign last April, is one of a handful of GOP candidates primary challenging conservative Gov. Brian Kemp. |

He is backing David Perdue. He is running for Congress but hasn't announced which seat. Speculation is that it will be the district North of Atlanta or East of Atlanta. Judge: Kemp can’t use leadership committee funds for primary
A “leadership committee” created by Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp under a new state law must stop spending money to get the governor reelected during the Republican primary, a federal judge ruled Monday. Former U.S. Sen. David Perdue, who’s challenging Kemp in the primary, last month filed a lawsuit challenging the new law. Perdue and his campaign allege that the law gives Kemp a significant and unfair fundraising and spending advantage in the primary and asked the judge to declare it unconstitutional. The law, passed by state legislators last year and signed by Kemp, allows certain top elected officials, including the governor and party nominees, to create leadership committees that can raise campaign funds without limits, including during a legislative session. Just after the law took effect in July, Kemp created the Georgians First Leadership Committee. U.S. District Judge Mark Cohen found that Perdue’s lawsuit was likely to succeed and issued an order granting a preliminary injunction. It immediately prohibits Georgians First from spending money to advocate for Kemp’s reelection or his opponent’s defeat during the primary and any primary runoff. |

This is an aside to the governor's race.
Ya'll have seen me post multiple times that I voted for PDJT. In my mind I can defend alot of stuff that he did or didn't do. But let's talk about draining the swamp for just a minute. Perdue is a swamp critter. No question, no doubt. I don't know anything about Hice, but some of ya'll have posted that he's a rino. So he's another swamp critter. A few days ago Jones was a democrat. That's swampy AF. Why is PDJT endorsing these shit-hooks? I don't think we need any of these three peckerheads representing us here in GA. |

Kemp starts to get cold feet when the 2020 election is blatantly stolen and suddenly a young campaign worker who is dating his daughter dies in a one car explosion that sends the motor 100yds from the crash scene. (nothing to see, move along) After that, both he and Raffensperger used the courts and their own lack of action to shut down any attempt to investigate the vote cheating. Things to at least ponder. |

The statewide poll of more than 1,000 likely GOP voters was conducted by the Atlanta-based Trafalgar Group between Friday, February 11 and Sunday, February 13. Gov. Brian Kemp and former US Senator David Perdue are vying for the Republican nomination for Georgia governor in 2022. "It clearly is a close race," said Robert Cahaly, Chief Pollster and Founder of The Trafalgar Group. Asked who they would most likely vote for in the governor’s race, Gov. Kemp pulled 49.1% of the people surveyed, followed by former U.S. Senator David Perdue with 39.5%. "What stood out was there is still a significant amount of people who are not aware that Trump's made an endorsement in the governor's race and that has a tremendous impact. I don't support either one of them. I'm mad at both of them. I speak the truth and let me tell you why. I've known Gov. Kemp since I was 16 years old. I've known Sen. Perdue since I was 19. This is what I want to say to everyone here: I want to bring this party together. We've got to bring this party together. What has happened now is some people get sour grapes and they don't get out and vote. And I want to say whoever loses that race – whether it's Gov. Kemp or Sen. I know this opinion will be unpopular but at this point Perdue just needs to go away. He's just as much of the problem as any other candidate, he's not some savior of the constitution, he's part of the DC swamp. I'm afraid the MAGA crowd will end up costing us the governorship just like we lost the two senate seats all because they think Kemp was in on the election steal. Could he have been more vocal about cheating sure, could he have actually changed anything, unlikely. I'll put my support with Kemp to keep Abrams out of the Governor's Mansion but at this point I don't have much hope.

I can't find any proof of this so I'm not sure. I heard on the radio this morning that PDJT's people have signed a contract for an event venue here in Columbia county for 3/26. Apparently Kemp has some kind of breakfast meet and greet scheduled for the same day here. Traffic will be retarted-er than normal if this is true.
Edit: Fake news. I heard the same guy ( Austin Rhoads) say today that PDJT's camp has moved this event closer to Atlanta. My apologies, ya'll. Didn't mean to spread falsehoods. I should have waited for another source. |

I know nothing of her positions, but what do we think about Taylor vs Abrams? I know, based on current polling she isn't getting out of the primary.
To me Abrams will play the minority vs old white male establishment if running against either Kemp or Purdue. She can't play that card against Taylor. |

Kemp on the other hand has already stolen 2 senate seats and a Presidential election for the dems and there is no way he will ever get re-elected. If he wins the primary, Stacey is the next governor. If you want to keep Stacey out of Governor's seat, you better throw your weight behind Perdue in the primary. Perdue for Gov, Herschel for Senate. ETA. If they cheat the vote again it won't matter who you vote for. Also ETA. Kemp was instrumental in the defeat of pro gun legislation SB 259 via his non participation.... just like any meaningful investigation of the vote cheating .... as usual. If you vote for a traitor, don't be surprised when he wins for the other side. |

On a slightly different note, I saw this today. Former house speaker, Newt Gingrich was changing his support from Mike Collins to Vernon Jones.
I'm neither politically savvy nor do I have any inside information, so this is just conjecture. But my first impression upon seeing the title to the article, was this was Vernon Jones' consolation prize for pulling out of the gubernatorial race. The obvious beneficiary would be the other challenger David Perdue. The article seems to confirm I am not alone in my suspicion. Politics is funny, isn't it? I feel that it's relevant to post here, that there is now confirmation that Brian Kemp has killed both SB 259 (the enhanced preemption/shooting range protection/church carry bill) and SB 89 (an election integrity bill, that would have tightened control on ballots, dropboxes, etc. ).
Kemp instructed outgoing Lt. Governor Geoff Duncan kill both bills, as they were on the cusp of passing. |
