thebeekeeper1,
Yea, I'll give ya a call when I get back in early February. I'm jumpin' off the plane and headed straight for the farm! Oh, check out my blueprint of the lower they started to post it again. (on the main page) From Shanghai, AKA "the wild, wild West" Mecheng |
holt3:
The nearest range I'm aware of is the Golden Valley range, run by the Missour DOC. It is unmanned, free, and open every day, except Wednesday. It is just outside (west) of Clinton on hwy 18. I wouldn't bother with Lake City range. They don't seem to be the friendliest group of rangemasters, IMHO. |
Thanks- I knew of Golden Valley but have never shot there. I guess I will check it out. Thanks for the info on it though. The way my luck goes I would have went down on a wednesday.

Hello all, west St.louis county here, this is my first post but been lurking for awhile, i would also be interested in attending any MO shoots.
Welcome, CT!! We have one tentatively planned for around April just north of Columbia, at a nice range. Watch for future posts. It is always a good time, so I hope to meet you there. You may even get to see AeroE bleed! He is from your area too. Lots of good guys will be there, and usually some great ladies too. Again, welcome. |
Of course, you guys can always IM me or email, and we can get together at Bull's Eye for indoor fun in smaller numbers. They can handle anything up to .50BMG.
Hey now BK1, I might be sensitive to ridicule and get my feelings hurt.
If you were, you wouldn't have lasted here. |
I live in the beatiful outskirts of Fenton, in southwest Stl. county.
Which Bulls Eye are you talking about? Is there one in MO I don't know about? I know of one in KS. |
In Saint Louis, there is the Bull's Eye Indoor Pistol Range, about 300m west of the Kingshighway intersection on Manchester road.
They used to have a website, but that appears to be defunct. They are in operation, as I talked to Gary yesterday. Bull's Eye Indoor Pistol Range 5100 Manchester Ave St Louis, MO (314) 781-4867 |
Another Springfielder here - Llanero and CZ75, we'll have to get together sometime. I usually pack up and go to Busiek for an afternoon. I have some friends in the St.Louis area and lived in KC for a couple of years.
I think we're catching up with TX for membership!!! |
Busiek sounds good--prolly won't be able to make it out there until the second week of Feb.
Got too much stuff going on right now! |
From Jefferson City here. I would be interested in a shoot in Columbia if you guys don't mind having another gun around. Keep me posted.
Born and raised in Washington, although a cumulative of about ten years was spent in NC
Slacko, TX ain't got nothing on us |
With us, it's always the more the merrier. Me and a couple of other guys in the Columbia area try to hook up every weekend (though obviously weather and schedule permitting) and shoot. IM or Email me if you want to come up one of these weekends and shoot. Do you know PitSnipe? He's from your area as well. |
North Kansas City here. Dennys Guns/GTS,LLC.
Contact me if there is a shoot in the offing. I will attend and shoot if schedule allows. Mebbe some LULAs as prizes if a competition match. Hell I will give a couple away anyway Denny yeah I'm in the biz but a shooter first, last and always. |
I'm new to the AR board. I've been lurking on the other AK board and on the Fal files. Currently, I don't have a black rifle, but I'll be picking one up at Knob Creek in April.
I live in St. Charles and work at Boeing. I've done some of the competitive shoots at Busch that Boeing has put on. It's a lot of fun and a great excuse to hurl lead. |
A job with a company that supports shooting? Please tell me they're hiring! |
dennysguns - no offense intended here, but did you work at the 'bullet hole'? My ex-wife's sister's fiance used to always talk about that place... (never been there)
Shamus, no I don't know Pitsnipe, at least not by that name. The only people I know with the black rifle are the ones I occasionally meet at the DOC Scrivner Shooting range in Russelville, bout 10 min from Jeff. Would love to get with some of you guys, maybe you can help me sight this thing in. Got a decent pattern, just not where I want it, lol. Let me know when you're going. Won't be able to this weekend though due to prior obligations (going to Daytona 500). Later
Jeff City...
Moved here in November from Dallas... What a beautiful state... proud to call this home... PITSNIPE - let's get together sometime, you can show me where the ranges are... CZ75fan - Me, too... |
Do you have a storefront with lots of pretties to drool over? |
Denny's Guns does have a store. Lotsa great stuff to drool over. Great people there too.
IIRC, its one block off of Armour Rd in NKC. -FOTBR |
Warrensburg here. I've been to a Columbia shoot and it was great. Unfortunately, I've been so busy I only get to shoot once a month maybe. One thing to keep in mind is the Tulsa gunshow is April 5-6. |
Jefferson City here....havent made a shoot yet, but looking forward to it. If anybody in the local area needs an FFL dealer, shoot me an e-mail.
[email protected] |
Jeff City group -
nascar3n8fan & pitsnipe would like to hook up with you guys one of these weekends... I'm picking up my AR15 this weekend and would love to plink off a few rounds before the shootout in April... Just let me know when & where... |
I'm not actually in Missouri(12 miles south of the state line in Arkansas), but I do go to campouts near Springfield. They're not JUST for shooting, but there is plenty of shooting done at them. The next one is in the middle of April.
FourDeuce
You would be located in Lapland, where Missouri laps over into Arkansas. |
Technically Kansas City, but pretty much North KC. Hadn't heard of Denny's... (but I'm relatively new to town). I may have to check it out.
well im in auxvasse, so anybody in mexico or fulton or that area want to shoot some time yell. Ronald
DAMN! I didn't know there were that many people from the St. Charles County area in here. I'm in O'Fallon, near the intersection of highways K and N. I plan on joining Benchrest ASAP. Go to Busch all the time, hope to see ya round.
- John |
My son and I will be out at Busch's tomorrow. Put an ambi selector on my BM and gotta try it out. Glad to know we got some many good folk in the neighborhood. You can't be more than 2.5 miles from me.
Just checking in.
Originally from Independence/Raytown, but have since defected to the west, Overland Park. I know. |
ST. LOUIS MISSOURI HERE.
I live in Kirkwood, a suburb of St. Louis. I'd love to get out and shoot w/ yall sometime! |
Chapman, I also live in Kirkwood, a couple blocks SE of Geyer & Manchester intersection. Small world uh. What range do you usually shoot at?
To anyone in the KC area: I know a dealer in Gardner, KS who deals out of his basement. Great guy and will sell anything at 10% over cost. $15 transfers. Rifles only if you're in MO, obviously. |
Sedalia, where hwy50 and hwy65 cross. You know, home of the Missouri State Fair.
I sent you an im asking for the info. |
LOL! I live near the Des Peres McDonalds. I'm the other way from Manchester and Geyer. More towards the mall. I usually go out to Henges next to Beaumont, or to shoot trap I go to Weldon Springs area. I've tried Bullseye a couple times, but I like outdoor ranges. How about you? |
30 minutes from my grandmother at the border "live in arkansas" and about an hour to hour and a half from neosho.
You must live around Rogers/Bentonville area? Rick Springfield, MO |
New to the board... Warrensburg MO. I have only fired at the Martha Perry Conservation area range off of Hwy 23.
Welcome to AR15.com! |
Born at Fort Crowder...lived in Neosho for 6 months before we were transfered to the Nancy Ord Depot in France in '56. To the best of my knowledge I've never been back.
But I'm still a native of Missouri and will always be. Stuck in Dallas, TX, right now, but I'll be moving after the first of the year. Don't want to leave TX since I've lived here since '59. However, divorce will force a move and Dallas area sucks, trust me. Likely move to Lufkin in East Texas. My brother has an extra room. I'll be 48 and broke after 26 years of marriage and 3 kids. Jeez, what a deal. Who knows, may end up in MO or KS (both my folks were proud Kansans). Kansan by heritage, Missourian by birth, and Texan by chance. Shootist...if I can find my BC, I'll look up my old address. I wonder if my first home still stands. |
I live in Gladstone just north of Downtown Kansas City. I just traded for/purchased my 3rd AR-15 from Denny's Guns on Friday 2 May 2003. I have done about 8 deals with them over the years and have had excellent service everytime.
They have a great shop and a great staff. It is a great place to stop in if you get to the KC area. Best regards, Brent |
