Hey, if any of the NY crew are going, could you give me a lift from NYC?

Sucks to be a college student with no wheels.

I can bring charcoal so we can cook/grill and utensils, but I no longer have a grill, can some one supply one? I'll cook the 'dogs and burgers' .

2 hours is more like it. I am an hour north of Ft Dix and it takes me 3 hours to get to Balt.

SCHWEETNESSS!!!!
within minutes of me getting my FID
I went and picked up my Bushmaster and while I was there picked up a Glock 23 lasersighted pistol
do you think 660 rounds of .223 and 200 rounds of .40 caliber is enough?
or do you have that inexpensive Wolf stuff so I can break in my barrel.
also are blocked hi caps ok?
and is there  a way to get there from route 70 in NJ
the parkway just seems way out for me since i live near seaside heights
aka exit 82 on the parkway
i need another set of directions to get there

Just a couple more days!

It looks like we are going to be ok weather wise.  (yay, I'll be dry this time!)  Calling for mostly cloudy with mid-60's temps.  There seems to be a slight chance of a shower in the AM, the forecast keeps going back and forth between no rain and 10-20% chance of a shower.

REGARDLESS of the weather, the shoot is on and I (and I'm sure 5 or 6 of you hardcore folks from the last shoot) will be there.  However, if it looks like it might be a little wet, we might do well to not have the BBQ this time and just hit the diner afterwards.  I will make the call on Friday night so check back here if you were planning on bringing something.

Fear not though, the next shoot will probably be July 5th and we will definitely do something on BBQ front then too!

Judging from the poll and some responses here it looks like we'll probably have about 10 shooters this time out.  Can't wait to see all the familiar and new faces!

July 5th???

Don't you think that most of us will be too hungover to shoot?  Loud noises and throbbing heads do not mix.

That's an awfully heavy travel day as well.  Lots of police on the roads looking for any reason to pull someone over.

Sucks working weekends.

Mags blocked to 15 are legal, so they should be fine.
Try running straight out Rt37 to Rt70 instead of GSP. Signs for Dix all over out there.

Unless things change very soon, looks like I'm gonna miss the shoot.

Gentlemen..and the rest of you,

I got this off the NWS site.
Saturday
Cloudy with a chance of rain or drizzle. Continued cool with highs in the upper 50s. Northeast winds 10 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation 40 percent.

Hopefully, the Weather Svc will be wrong as usuall.  I have drill this weekend so I won't be there for the whole thing but if you see a guy in cammo with an AR around lunch time, that'll be me.

Looking forward to this weekend.

I tell you what...  Me and the weather gods are fast approaching a showdown.

As of right now, weather channel is stating 50% chance of showers in the AM with no rain forecast at all from at least noon on.

Looks like pretty much the same type of day as last time.  So...

The shoot is still on!  I will be there, no doubt about it.

However, I think we need to can the BBQ until next time...

Remember, we are on positions 13 & 14, the last two on the far right.  You will see my truck, a black F150, parked on the line as you pull in.

See you tomorrow!

I'LL BE THERE ALSO. LOOK FOR THE AR15.COM SIGN AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE RANGE. I AGREE WITH CANNING THE BBQ TILL THE NEXT ONE, BESIDES THE RESTAURANT WE WENT TO LAST TIME SERVES GREAT FOOD,HOPE WE CAN GO THERE AGAIN.

I swear, they where fine when I had to head back to the base at 1300.

Seriously, I could only be there for 45 minutes or so  (damn drill weekend anyway) but I want to thank everyone who was kind enough to let me fire off a few of there rounds and "fondle" their rifles.  Next time, perhaps the shoot will be on a day I do not have drill.  The military is so funny about personal weapons these days.  They are almost as afraid of guns as the liberals.

Once again, thanks guys, I just wish you hadn't packed it in by the time I was able to get back.
