Sorry, I didn't notice this earlier in the middle of you tooting your own horn.  This is news to me.  Here's what I don't understand.  You and Guido run a couple of fairly successful shops, that sell stuff for decent prices.  I've sent customers to both your shops, and I've had co-workers buy guns from your shop, you can ask Aaron.  Aaron and your other employees have taken great care of the people I've sent there.   What I don't get is the need that you 2 have to make stuff up and talk shit about a situation that is loooooong over.  Why don't you two worry about your own shops and building your businesses instead of going after people who aren't even competitors anymore?  Or even shops that are your competitors?  The firearms industry has enough problems between antigunners and the government dicking them around that they don't need their own industry buddyfucking them.  Its just sad and kinda pathetic.  Now that I'm seeing other shops in town that are matching your prices, I guess I'm just going to have to start sending people there instead.

You stated I shouldn't go after going after "people who aren't even competitors anymore". I never had a bone to pick with Adam from Infinite Arms until he and his friend Robert Perkins starting showing up to our Winchester Town Advisory Board hearings, Planning Commission hearings, County Commission hearings and all of a sudden neighboring businesses and commissioners were receiving anonymous "information" about the new business coming in. Anybody is free to attend any hearing from the County but you REALLY had to search online to find out what date and time that my wife and myself (or anybody for that matter) were going to be appearing before several commissions. Do you really think it's just coincidental that these people just happened to attend the hearings. One hearing only had two agendas, my wife and I were representing our business and the other was for a cemetery. What are the odds that Robert Perkins (Adam's friend who works with him over at Guns and Ammo Garage now) was there (and he's been in my store several times) waiting in the back directly behind my wife and I.

You also stated that we have enough problems with anti-gunners dicking around. I've never had anti-gunners call the Circus Circus and have "anonymous" warnings about the possibility of children being shot at the Adventure Dome because of a new gun range moving in across the street (but the only people who knew about the exact location being across from the Adventure Dome were people who attended the County hearings, hmmmm??). Anti-gunners don't send anonymous letters to casinos or Commissioners... they lobby them. They are vocal and up front about their agenda and don't send anonymous letters to the neighbors (many of them) of a new gun business. He's not a competitor anymore right,... righhhhhht.

As for other shops that are our competitors, I think I have a friendly relationship with quite a few and even sell them inventory at dealer pricing (as I did for your friend Adam). I believe that I have good relationship with several gun store owners in town and have no problem with it.

Even though it's done now, I'm grateful to Ron for the time and cash he threw down on the New years shoots in the past.  I went a couple times and not only had a great time with good people, but shot a MG for the first time at HDI's expense (I offered replacement ammo, but Ron refused and then handed me another gun to shoot.)  I'm not sure why Rider is so butthurt, but I'm glad to toot the horns of the owners of HDI and NFA as great guys who are more than generous.

I'm not butthurt, and my issues with the situation really have nothing to do with the shoot.

Damn,I missed all this. Me and a friend from work went to the clark county shooting park and had a blast. I brought my registered SBR AR15 in 9mm and had a blast. I brought my Gemtech MK9K for my shorty and had a blast.
Too bad this thread turned into a I hate Guido and who you callin a bitch thread. But it it is still entertaining. A better question is " where you guy's shooting Valentine's day". I just LOVE the hometown forum. Ronnie.

I usually shoot it off in the bedroom. Or are you actually talking guns? Are you looking to bring the women out to the range, so we have people to set targets up or use them for targets?

Good post. This has been the most entertaining thread here in months. The wife and I usually go to dinner and a show for valentines day. It would be nice if some of us could meet at the Clark County Shooting park say on  a Saturday.

And by they way, all those awesome pics that you posted when you weren't tooting your own horn that are supposed to represent all the years you "ran the shoot"?  I'm pretty sure they're all from the same day.

If you read my first post, I stated that I was part of a group of guys (I was probably the last or one of the last) that have been doing this and organizing if for years. I didn't say that I personally ran the shoot. The group called itself the Vegas Shooters and/or Desert Buffet Shooters. There are several members here in the NVHTF that have been part of Vegas Shooters long before myself. I wish I could provide more pictures for you but for the most part I was right next to the guns keeping an eye on them. I had to rely on others to share/send me pics of the events (too busy on the line securing the MG's).

BTW those weren't from the same day. If you look at the pictures you can see some people wearing tank tops and t-shirts and in other photos they are wearing jackets and gloves. I just went on to Youtube and saw videos of Arfcom members shooting at New Years or Fourth of July and HDI staff/guns are present and they are available for everybody to see, you just have to search.

Stopped reading at Ron's post, so if its a moot point then so be it..

I started going to the Vegas Shooters shoots back in 07, I've got video footage of Ron, Mike, Mike, Mark, Pete, Tom, Rick, etc etc etc,, in fact the core shooters one day pitched in and we had a dude grade a road to make the shoots more accessible to  vehicles without much ground clearance(not the hubcap spot btw).   I don't remember the last group shoot I went to but it was probably  Jan 2010,  too many shooters, too many spectators.  Couldn't get comfortable with all those people around my high dollar toys..  I couldn't walk around and talk to my friends, and they couldn't walk around either for the same reasons..I loved the old group shoots when there would be 10-15 of us and we'd bring a few spectators/friends out to join in..  We talked dam near as much as we shot...
Really miss those days..

07? I could've sworn it was earlier. I've got pics from 00 and 01, but I can't remember when Mrs. Bigfoot and Mrs.  Different started cooking up food...

Mrs. Different was the first to cook food in the desert for the Internet driven informal shoots.  It started in July 2000.  There were ten trigger pullers at that first gathering.  Mrs. Different and I helped organize the first forty-three of these meets, until November 2004.
