Test fire and described as laser accurate at 600 yards without any specific load to rifle development.  Gavin had to do some milling on the ACIS stock to fit the CG Mod 22 trigger but has also describe the trigger as the best he's every used. Definitely looks like you're all going to be toast in August.

200.16 at 600. Two and twenty to count. One interesting thing over and above the fact that no one else can win is that the point of impact with the brake and the moderator is identical.

Well looking at related threads, some of us might be unsure about getting out that far without uberammo....

For me I'd probably need at least one prior visit to sort myself out and see if I can get there. Mark, have you still got that 6" I asked you to chop off my Remmy.................

Oh well.., WNSC mini-rifle it is then . I can show the boys my shiny new .30 cal muzzle brake on my V22........................

I'm going to have to wait, Gavin is going to display it at Newark.  The new scope, not the one pictured on the gun, is just what I need for the intended use, a SFP P4F reticule as I don't need to range using the Mildots as I'm not an Operator or Walt.

OK so it's as simple as that is it, FFP scopes are only for walts and operators?

Nope. neither.
Just thought your earlier statement rather sweeping...
FWIW as you know, you can range with a 2nd focal plane - but you just have to think a bit more...about what mag you're on...which
is why I like FFP.

Not a problem for me as the gun will probably only be shot on known distance ranges and I hate maths anyway.

I,ve just got one too, for my .260 which is in an AICS stock. Its very stable, works as it should, and looks like it will be good. The proof of course, will be in shooting it this weekend.
John and i have had several discussions on it, and to be honest, its not perfect, but can be made so, i think.

The captain of our practical section helped them develop this. I had a play with the prototype months ago when he brought it down to a club match:

My thoughts are that its a great bipod for a .50 or something equally as big.

Bit heavy and over engineered for anything lighter. Super strong too.
Link Posted: 2/24/2011 11:00:07 AM EDT
[#42]
I,ve had the chance to have a good close look at the bipod tonight.

If this is the best a supposedly top english shotgun maker can produce, then i would not buy a gun from them in a million years.

The bipod itself is reasonably made, and strong. The attachments like the tommy bar that tightens the whole thing up, are a badly machined joke, and look like they have been made on a street corner in china.

Some goon has opened out the hole in the cap end so much, that the tommy bar almost falls through....and its obviously been done after blueing, as its bare steel.

I,m disgusted, and an e-mail is on its way to Rigby.

Its good to talk!

Had the manufacturer on the phone this morning very apologetic at the drop off in QA, there are many reasons but the guy was quite clear that he felt the buck stopped with him and he would do whatever he could to sort it out.  As a result I will soon have two Rigby Bipods, one for the T2k and on for my ACRC Surgeon.

What's the point of having two crap bipods?

I also had a very nice phone call from the same chap, as i too had complained. He was very helpful, the new parts are on the way, and i think someones arse is getting punched. He said the same to me, as he did to John...he was taking the rap, and wanted feedback, good or bad, so any niggles could be rapidly sorted.

I shot the rifle on the bipod yesterday, and have to say, niggles aside, it is superb, and works perfectly.

A very good example of excellent customer service when things aren,t right. I,ve changed my mind, and opinion on the bipod, and the company, and will be selling them in the future.

Top marks for customer service.
