naked, you may well have the time and enjoy the selling process. If I had that task I would take em down to the end of Pine street, shelter insurance and have JD Roach put them in his next auction. JD is an auctioneer and a FFL. He will charge her a commission, will advertise the guns and put them in with 2-3 hundred other guns in his annual or semi-annual gun auction. The advantage is it minimizes your time and it removes claims of inappropriate pricing. When you have several hundred gun buyers bidding stuff pretty much brings at least what it is worth. JMO and good luck. I am sure she will appreciate the help. Honest people are hard to find. Good on you for taking the time to help her. All too often these widows are ripped off big time.

This would make an awesome General Discussion thread...
Kinda like the ones where they found a safe, hear something rattling in it, and want tips on how to open it. Make 1 or 2 posts, then disappear... People would be dying to know what's on the list. Could take a picture with a sheet over the guns and just leave the barrels sticking out. |

I'd like to know more on that Winchester 94. Do you know the date of manufacture or have the serial so I could look it up?

Sorry I'm looking for a pre 1964 model, but thanks for the info. Just FYI, but the desireability of a Pre-1964 Winchester is really limited to the major changes in the Model 70. The minor changes to the 94 were mainly just roll pins. |
