In the *real world* Don and Kelley tried thier level best to get me fired. My dean does not read this message board, and I could care less if Don or Kelley apologized here. They told lies about me to my dean, the secretaries, the board of trustees, the Terrell PD, etc.
I did not post this to stir anything back to the surface. And I really do not feel the need to do it again.
Don and Kelley can apologize to others until they cry crocodile tears. The one person in this (me) that they attacked remains skeptical to this day.

I meant as a start to you here. Not to your dean and others at your work place. But like I pointed out as well, its been this long so would it really be genuine at this point for them to apologize?

'As a start...' ?
No. Would not matter to me at all. My opinion has not changed. They picked the manner in which to attack me, I told them what they needed to do to apologize. "Put it in writing, give me a copy that I can show my dean."
Kelley had her chance to apologize on this board, and we saw how that went.
Keep in mind, these things have an 'echo effect'. This is still my career, and I still get asked questions occasionally about this. Rumors have a way of getting embellished over the years. My dean knows the truth, so he does not need an apology. It has not affected my employment status, I am obviously still employed, and the PD (who told me that they had also heard from Kelley) dropped their investigation.
Years from now, if this issue was to arise, with a new dean, new Pres/VP of the college (the current ones wereinvolved in the complaint from Don and Kelley) then a written apology and explanation would continue to clear my name fro mthe false reports.
That is why I expect, and would only be satisfied by, a written apology.
