I'm looking for several of these. I haven't determined how many I need though. Any suggestions on where to get them the cheapest?

The surplus/outdoors store in Ames has a bunch of ammo cans, you will have to Google the name of the place. I believe it is on old Lincoln highway.

New reproductions @ harbor freight have done well for me. I pick one up randomly when I get the 25% off sales notices. Seals are good and they end up being about $10/pop. Use them to store bulk ammo.

Thanks. I'm pleasantly surprised these are so inexpensive.

Just bought a .30 and .50 cal box combo at Menards in Ankeny. Roughly $10 after specific and 11% rebate.
They are not milspec quality in metal thickness but appears 5o be airtight. Felt like a fair deal.

Does anyone use .50 cal boxes for .22LR? I have 10 bricks of .22 and I'd like to know whether to store the whole brick or throw the individual small boxes into the can?
