I think I am going to get a 3" kimber to carry. This gun is a precuios few oz ligter than the SP101 3" I carry now on hotter days, plus is a 6 shot, and basically same size.  And, I can compete in IDPA SSR & some ICORE & divisions with it. I could even shoot USPSA though not be competitive at all w/ a 6 shot w/ speedloaders.  I had been thinking about a 9mm but moons are banned in SSR.  Really wanting to do some shooting of the gun I actually carry, I know the gun is light to be competitive, but I just want to do some shooting.  So, I just need to find speed loaders both to carry and to shoot with.  Per this, K6 uses same as colt detective:

But are there any type that shoot the cartridges in when a center post is hit?

Thank you for the help.e

I think the Safariland Comp series for the S&W K frame will work on the K6. The II & III will both spring the rounds into the chambers for you.

I can't speak to the Kimberley, but I used to use k frame speed loaders with my old colt agent.  When traveling to more restrictive states I would carry a 19 2.5" with the agent as my bug.

Yes.  The original agent and cobra were aluminum framed detective specials.

If you are buying new go with the det spec (he's brand model dsl uric. If you have k frame loaders or find them cheap use them.
