broken firing pin retaining plate. Mk2 hi power, 1980's ish.

Problem, I ordered one from midway and it is just a HAIR out of spec. It contacts the sear and stop rearward slide movement. Can't get the slide all the way on the gun. Visually, it fits and all that, just slightly off.

Anyone know where to get one that is in spec? My search makes it appear that Midway, Brownells, etc are all selling the same part.

My hi power has a square notch at the top of the plate, that has a cut out for it in the slide. all the ones I can find are round top and this is causing the fitment issue

Edit: where theres a will, theres a dremel. Got it to fit after taking the curve out of the top. But i'd still like to buy the correct part if anyone has a source.

The problem is mine for some reason has a flat top. And the bottom geometry is slightly different, it also flat with the curve then coming up off that flat.

I haven’t been able to find any examples matching mine, and the rounded tops don’t fit. I found a used factory one and modified it to fit. Still needs a little work, but it’s close enough now.
