S&W 2.0 M&P compact........ or ........... Canik TP9 SF Elite/Elite SC

I'm going to have to go with a steel frame 5" 1911 in 45 ACP. Preferably from a high end brand like Wilson Combat, but I'll take a Springfield or Kimber too. To this day, I haven't found a single handgun that even comes close to the 1911 experience. It's like God himself gave JMB the blueprints.

All things considered, I'd probably choose the CZ P-10c. But, im enjoying the Rex Zero 1. Holster, parts, and mag availability keep it from being a realistic choice, however. Attachment Attached File

Stupid poll...... I have a stupid expensive 1911 that I NEVER shoot. Every time I go to the range I take my business Guns......... Glocks (usually of the 21 varieties)

Para-Ordnance p12. 12 + 1 of 45 ACP in a pistol that is small enough to put in your jean pocket in a pinch.

If it's truly a "one gun to do everything" - from personal protection to hunting, my usual answer would be a Glock G20.

Since you say no Glocks, it would be a Gov't size 1911 in 10mm. (assuming in your fantasy world ammo is available).

I just looked at the new Springfield Ronin yesterday, and it would fit the bill nicely. (of course I have a G20, so...  )

Most likely I’d pick an HK...P30L or VP9.

Another strong contender would be the Sig P320, X something.

I’d probably go with something like a Staccato P (double stack 1911 around Commander size, in 9mm or .40, maybe 10mm). If I only have one if might as well be nice, and I shoot 1911s well.

A high-quality 1911.

Kind of there already.  With only a few exceptions every gun I own is currently a Shadowc1 or 2 or variant/custom.

This. The best I could afford. If its only that I can (very very unlikely - it would be either none or many in reality and all practicality) then I wouldn't skimp.

The qualities I need in a handgun are concealability, comfort while carrying, round capacity, reliability, and accuracy.  That’s why I choose a P365XL to carry all day, everyday.

I don't hate saying it. My P320 is every bit as reliable and a hell of a lot more accurate then any Glock I've ever owned (and I've owned a lot of them)

ETA... and my 226 Legion SAO has a better trigger will outshoot any 1911 in the same price point.

The more I shoot it, the less Glock becomes a worthy alternative.

The bottom one should also be in consideration if you could only have one.

Personally: M&P; as I have a good amount of time on it in an LE capacity and--in stock configuration--I shoot then better than Glocks and the aftermarket support base is almost as strong.

Practically: Sig P320 series; used by DoD and has gained a foothold in the LE market, including the largest agency in my state.

Choose it over Glock anyway. 2nd place would be a P320 just for commonality.
