So i have a springfield garrison .45. Has a little over 500 rounds through it, several brands of ball amd some hst hollow points. Has bean flawless so far. Weak hand strong hand... first hundred rounds of wwb at various times it does this wierd thing that feeding a round its at a wierd angle and jams. Factory mag and an 8 round mecgar that i beleive also makes factory mag. Feed lips and followers look exactly the same. Anybody else have isdues with the white box?

My DW loves their 9mm. Works perfectly in all my other guns, too. WWB rimfire, on the other hand, is pure garbage.

I've always heard WWB was underpowered. Could it be light enough that the slide doesn't have enough recoil velocity to pick up the next round all the way?

I don't know about current production, but a few years ago I chronographed .45 WWB at 840 FPS.  Maybe today's stuff is slower, but would it be that much slower?

My TRP Operator was okay with WWB from Walmart. But, that was about 5 years ago. No idea how current production is.

I always would buy WWB over the Remington UMC.

Year back, I did switch to Federal over the Winchester for bulk 12 gauge when shooting informal clays though.

Garbage ammo, inconsistent, inaccurate, unreliable and charcoal filthy.

I rate that Aguila brand higher and that’s saying something.

I have had WWB .45 ACP that was out of OAL (too long) enough to cause nosedives in my FNP-45 magazines, leading to FTFs. However, those magazines are exceptionally sensitive to loaded cartridge length, which is why FN lengthened the mag tubes and slide travel for the FNX-45.

I don't think 1911's are particularly sensitive to OAL, but I suppose that your slide stop lug could be making contact with long loaded cartridges as they feed from the magazine, causing them to nosedive but not raise the slide stop at a point that would lock the slide open.

Or are they feeding too high and going into the barrel hood instead of the barrel?

I typically avoid WWB because it's low quality IMHO, and Winchester seems to be on a high horse about their prices lately.

I have a stainless Garrison and the OEM mag only works with ball ammo if that helps.

No problems with WWB.
