I’ve not carried mine much since I added a S&W 638 to my rotation, but when I need more capacity, it’s the best.
I sold my Glock 43, my Shield, and turned my Glock 26 into a truck gun. I shoot the P365 better than any of those. Well, I shoot the Glock as well but it’s thicker. Anybody using the P365 as a carry gun? |

Yes, a lot of the time. I'm only doing it to get used to the gun though. It is a great gun, but I bought it as a back up/pocket gun - not a primary carry. Lately, I've been carrying the 90-TWO, but that's just because I'm working on a new 115gr load and since I shoot at least 3x/week, it helps with my ladder testing.
I have a great holster for the P365 which makes it nicer to carry. |

Great gun. When I carry its what I carry. Accurate, high capacity & small.

I also have the cheapie pocket holster. |

I carry a P365XL with a 15 rounder and spare or a Ruger 57 with a 20 rounder and a spare.

Still carrying a P365?
Well, LOTS of people are carrying a P365. I would not even guess as to how many other handgun makes and models have been replaced by the P365 by carry permit holders in this country in the past couple of years. Me included. I'm not brand specific and have never kept any Sig handgun before for any length of time, but the P365 is an outstanding success. I bought the first 365 two years ago after it had been out a while and Sig fixed a few minor errors in the gun. Mine has been perfect, and I mean perfect with anything I've fed it. One great thing about it was that out of the box it required nothing additional. Just unbox it and shoot. I did add Talon rubber grips but they weren't necessary like on my other polymer framed guns, almost all of which wear Talons. After 500 trouble free rounds it became my everyday carry using the 10-round magazine with a 12-round backup magazine. My former and much loved Glock 43s with after-market Truglo sights were relegated to the gun safe. I finally sold one and kept the other, for the time being at least. The P365 just outclasses the G43 in every way for me. I now have a second standard P365 and most recently a 365XL which my wife grabbed, wrapped and put under the tree after one test fire range session with it. I was at the local Bass Pro on Saturday after Black Friday and there was lots of empty spaces in the gun area. A salesman struck up a conversation with me as I looked at a 365XL. I started to buy it, but decided that would be selfish since I already own three 365s, so I left it for some other lucky soul to have. The salesman said that on Black Friday they sold a total of 345 guns in just that one day. That's a lot of guns even for that large Bass Pro store. So, Yeah there are many P365s on belts or pockets out there and the number increases daily. Thanks for your post. |

Quoted: If you have the P365 and don't have the P320 CO2 pistol they make you are really missing out. It is a very nice gun. It has recoil and nearly the same trigger as the original I use it for practicing my draw and firing. It really forces you into trigger control. It will leave a nice welt if you don't use good trigger control and shoot yourself in the leg https://i.imgur.com/zV8E6zKl.jpg View Quote Thanks for the cool info. |

Of course.
That said, I hate small pistols, so I only carry it when necessary. And apparently the last time that was was roughly September of last year. Otherwise, the G19 is the smallest I carry, and typically it's my G17. IWB. It's a tool in the toolbox, but it's a tool that I avoid given the slightest chance. |

Once I got my hands on the 15 round Shield Arms mags, I haven't shot or carried my 365. It's a fine gun, but I much prefer my 43X.

Yeah the 365xl replaced my shield and 1911 and is my most commonly carried pistol. Thinner than the 1911 and shorter than a shield with better capacity than either? Hell yeah! Shoots well as it is and even better with the Holosun 507k I finally got.
I’ve never been a Sig guy but this has been 100% reliable and punches above its pay grade. I put the short grip on the xl slide and it’s a great carry set up. Really hoping for a snap on light and it will be my travel gun for sure. Attached File |

Absolutely love and trust my 365XL. Points much better and feels more refined than Glocks do.....to me.

I carry my P365 everyday. Every single day. Once I vetted it with some rounds I sold my Shield and never looked back. My wife has converted as well. I love mine
|
|
Love mine. It replaced my PM9 and M&P 40c and I haven’t looked back. Shoots as well as my M&P 2.0 Compact and is so easy to carry.
Still have a P380 and M&P340 for when attire dictates, but the 365 is my favorite. |

I have a P365 Tac PAC (3 mags) and a gray frame XL, the gray one has a thumb safety. What’s the best RMR sight for the XL ?

I may have sold a couple of P365’s on Thursday. I was at the range for a bit and had my P365 in my pocket. A few guys were shooting at paper from about 7 yards. They were doing fine, but complained about paper being boring. I pointed out the steel at 125 yards. They just chuckled. I pulled the P365 and hit the 10” plate at 125 yards with 1 shot. I promptly put the gun away, because while I’m a very good shot, a hit at 125 yards while standing is not an automatic hit for me.
We talked a bit about how good the gun was and I went back to the other side of the gun club. I’m sure they were as surprised as I was that I got it on the first shot - haha. |
|
My go to. Isn't much to it when wearing. Shoots like a big boy.

Thanks for all the replies.
I agree with a lot of you guys. I’ve sold a G43 and a Shield since I got my 365. I love my G26 but it’s become a truck gun. I did find two videos on YouTube “What Does a Navy Seal Carry?” and surprisingly they both had a 365 in their carry rotation. |

Still?
I just got one (SAS version). With the 12 round mag, it is a perfect fit for me. I like it a lot. Wanting to buy a fullsize Sig now. |
|

I never owned a Sig and I’ve been shooting for 20 years. I like single action too. None of their offerings appealed to me.
I like the 365 so much I started looking at 320s :-/ |

I carried the 90-TWO all day, so it was nice to take that off and throw the P365 in my pocket when we went out to dinner and a couple of errands tonight. With 1 spare magazine in my pocket, I don’t feel helpless with 20 rounds of 9mm on me.

Yes, it is my primary EDC. The standard P365 w/12 round mags is my preferred set up.
Still have a number of slightly smaller, similar and slightly larger guns I’ll sway in from time to time, but if i could have only one it would be the P365 for a small CCW piece. A 638 over the P365 |

Still? How about “finally about to”?
Should be picking one up on my way home. Been wanting one, but had other priorities (Garand). But the price came up right on a tac-pac so I went for it. Plan is to pocket carry...is the DeSantis Nemesis the standard pocket holster or should I be looking elsewhere? |
|
Well thanks to you enablers and threads like this, I ended up buying a 365XL yesterday.
I had zero plans to buy one when I left the house yesterday but I guess this thread was fresh on my mind when I hit the LGS and saw that they had a few in stock (as well as the standard 365) and after finger fucking both of them, I decided I needed to get an XL for T&E purposes. lol I'm a long time Glock guy too with both a 43 and 48 so we'll see what happens after the range tomorrow? Things is, even if I love it, I may not be able to keep it because both my son and wife really like it too so I may lose it to one of them |

Off to Gunbroker I go. And oh, back to thread - I bought a CO2 P365 just to feel it but it never really grew on me and I love smaller handguns |
