Maybe I'm late in hearing about this, but DW has put the ECO in 9mm and .45 on the discontinued list. I would have thought there was a market for a smaller pistol like this.
Anybody got any guesses as to why it was discontinued?

Son of a bitch! That one was on my list. As was the old Valor. They will probably release a new “updated” version in the future.
...with the K Trigger.  I am certain there is still a huge market for pistols this size. |

It will come back , they already brought back the Valor and VBOB. If I remember correctly a CZ rep told me the ECO was one of DW's better sellers at NRA 2019. Also I love mine fantastic little blaster.

I’m thinking of a 1911 this size but around here they are selling used for 2k. Nice but that seems steep

I did not realize prices on them had gotten crazy , had mine since 2015~ and think I paid $1600 or so. Which to me is not bad for a 1911 that nice.

Dan Wesson has gone down a path that doesn't appeal to me at all. The Valor is butchered, all I can see are commander 9mm Specialists and so forth for sale. Bring back the 2012-1018 stuff. That was the sweet spot.

I have mine a few years. My ECO is in 45acp. I installed a Smith & Alexander one piece mag well on the gun. A great small 1911.
