I have 6 CZ handguns and non show these weird marks. I noticed after cleaning it the other night. It has a bunch of hammer contact marks where the hammer rides. All the other CZs I own have the hammer mark at the furthest point of travel on center rail when cycled. That is not the what I am talking about. The rest of the rail the hammer rides on has similar hammer marks where the hammer rides. Almost looks like the hammer is bouncing and contacting the slide. Instead of riding smoothly. Here is a picture. Hard to see in the photo but if you look close between the back of the rail and the mark where the hammer stops when cycling you will see little marks that run perpendicular to the rail. The marks are only where the hammer rides. The rest of the bottom rail is normal. Gun functions fine.

Here a few pictures in the right light you can see it fine in other pictures it is harder to see. What do you all think is going on here?

But you’re not seeing what looks like imperfection/ defect lines farther to the rear, like the metal had irregularities, not homogenous?

I see what your talking about. I guess I will have to call CZ and see what they say.

I contacted CZ just to get there impression. Figured I should should get the answer straight from the horses mouth. They said the marks are normal and not a problem. They did offer to take it in and have them polished out if I want to which is cool of them.  I just need to decide if I want to leave it or have them polished out by them. Either way I decide it was nice of them to offer even if it is only cosmetic.

FWIW I have a CZ 75b omega so I snapped a few shots of the bottom of my slide.

Yours looks like my other CZs. Doesn’t have the weird marks (at least from what I can see)

Not sure where I saw the thread but another CZ owner had a metal inclusion type defect and his cracked.  Totally covered though iirc.

The wavy wear marks that ride over the hammer, meh, no big deal.

Don't forget, if that surface is not PERFECTLY smooth and flat, then any wear on the finish will show it. It may look and feel smooth and flat, but the hammer is only going to ride on the high spots as it slides back. That's what it looks like to me, slight variations in the surface and wear only on the high spots.
