Decided to go with the G45 MOS today. Will fit my G19.5 MOS holster and I have about 20 G17 mags. Would like to get a 19X in the near future but I like the looks of the G45 better.

I’ve decided to switch from carding subcompact guns to more of a full-size. Although I have o issue carrying my G19.5 MOS with RMR.

Think I made the right choice.

I've had both and while the 19X is cool, I would rather have the G45 as well.

G45 is more betterer.

In true ARFCOM fashion, I got both.

You made a good decision. I have two 19x’s that I bought just for the FDE TLR-7’s but I wish they were both G45 MOS’s after buying one of those. I’ll probably keep one for a Roland build and send the other one down the road.

Wanted a 19X when they first came out. Then the G45 MOS hit the streets and it just made so much more sense to me. Glad I waited.

They are basically identical. Looks is a toss up. I love the 19x.

For most things yea...but 19x won’t take gen 5 mags without mods and I don’t think has the marksman barrel like the gen 5.

The model 45 is my duty gun by choice. Never shot anything but a perfect score on my quals with it.

It has the marksman barrel and you just need to swap mag baseplates or do a +2. Pretty cheap fix IMO.  After trimming a Gen 5 baseplate, I decided +2 are quicker to install and mo better anyhow.

I updated your other thread by linking it to this one with my latest post.

Hopefully the two with the "don't like what I don't want you to like" syndrome will stop.

Maybe

I wanted a 19X for a long time, but after getting a G19 Gen 5, I've decided that I prefer forward serrations, so I'll be going with a G45 in the future. I know that some people don't care for the FS or don't need them, but I find them useful when dry firing - I don't do press checks, but I use the same process to reset the striker. I also like having them to avoid grabbing the slide around the RMR on an optic-equipped pistol. That one additional feature makes be prefer the G45 over the 19X. I do want a non-black Glock as "field" pistol, where the longer grip doesn't need to be concealed, and the 19-length slide fits in the Safariland holsters I already own, which is why I was looking at the 19X. Ideally, Glock will come out with an ODG G45 MOS for me, but I'll eventually get a black one if they don't.

The 19X is neat because of the color but other than that, the G45 wins for me hands down. I am not knocking the 19X but the magazine compatibility of standard mags with the 45 made my decision easier.

I’m thinking I might head back to the gun shop on Saturday and buy the 19X as well. I haven’t gotten the approval for the G45 yet (thanks WA laws). But I do want to add an RMR quickly to it so we will see if I get the 19x or not.

I ordered a 19x last night. Because it’s brown

I have no regrets with my 19x, wish it had front serrations like the 45 but it is what it is.. looking forward for it to return from battlewerx so I can throw the RMR HRS on it.

I’m all honesty, they’re pretty much the same damn gun

It’s just me looking for an excuse to buy another gun.

I took it as an excuse to buy all the FDE things. Holster, belt, mag pouch, tac light, etc..

Brown is the new black.

Added some more mags, a Safariland holster, and a knife I won at a GSSF match that just happened to come in coyote.

Went down and picked up the G45 today. They got in a shipment of Trijicon suppressor height night sights so I had them throw those on too.

Just need to order an RMR and a plate from FCD.

Love my Glock 45 mos with the trijicon  on it.  Don't care for the short grip of the 19x,  I'll give up printing a little for a full grip.

Ummmm... other than the lip on the front of the 19X aren't they the same grip? Same as a G17.
