Current manufacture Colt Defender:
Tiny little grip bushings (shorter than even "slim" bushings). I want to replace them with Challis standard sized bushings. Apparently even the Challis bushing removal tool for slim bushings won't work on these. WTF? |

Maybe loctite a screw in, and reverse it out? YMMV

My Clapp colt is the same. I bought challis slim bushings and they did not fit. Best bet is to find original colt.

Guess I got lucky, my Defender is one of the earlier ones. Brownells used to carry Navidrex slim grips which use a thin bushing, that's what I have on mine.
