I've been wanting to remove the thumb safety on my M&P9 Compact for awhile, and I keep reading about calling S&W to get the plugs. I always thought, they're just two little pieces of plastic, should be free right? NOPE!!

Now I don't mind paying for parts, I don't ever argue with freebies but that ship has pretty much sailed. But $2.99 per plug? Oh well. Also, the nice lady on the phone said don't be worried if they come one at a time, sometimes they ship separately.  

Anyway, if you call S&W they give you ANOTHER number to call and order them. It's 800-331-0852.

At least I won't have to worry about bumping the damn safety up with my big hands anymore.

Emailed S&W and they said they didnt have any in stock so I paid ~$5 each for the OD plugs from Numrich.

Suddenly $3/plug don't sound as bad.
