Thoughts of a double action only 92 for another pony in the stable?

If the price is right, why not?

Is it one of the new 92DXR's or older?  I think $599 is a good price for one of the new ones, especially with the Ameriglo sights.  I wouldn't give $599 for an older used one, unless it was mint.

Dammit, now I sort of want one of the 92DXR's!  I didn't know they existed until a couple minutes ago.

Particularly if you pair it up with a Langdon Trigger Job in a Bag, you end up with the experience of having a 20-shot K frame, and that trigger job is really a delight.

Thank you sir!

Looks like i would have to get a pair of the grips that make it feel like a regular 92 also.
Neat pistol!

I love my 92d’s great triggers when worked over buy Langdon tactical.

A 92d centurion vertec with no rail would be excellent. I’ve considered sending my 96d centurion for a vertec grip conversion.

The 92D is a great pistol.  Smooth trigger pull.  A plus for the new ones is the replaceable front sight.  I have had a few over the years, and a good friend still has one from years ago.  Simple, reliable, and a safety free slide.  Hoping for a Centurion model..

For a number of years my EDC has been a 96D.

A Beretta 92 with a steel trigger, and reduced power main spring can be the smoothest / most enjoyable DA shooter.

I prefer a DA/SA with DECOCK ONLY safety, but wouldn’t turn away from a DAO model.

In general, I'd prefer a DA/SA with decock only, but I've gotten the DA on a 92 down into the low 5lb range and maintained reliability.  The lock time is measured in minutes due to the 10lb hammer spring, but it's a range toy.  I'm planning to put a lighter hammer in to improve the lock time. There's really no reason that you can't get a DAO trigger in the 6-7lb range with a decent lock time and perfect reliability, which I think would be great for a carry gun.

I have a 96D Centurian (my EDC) with a complete full size slide to convert it to a 92D. The Centurian's slightly shorter barrel works better appendix carry, either top end shoot as good as any Berettas I own, or have owned.

I've toyed with using my Sig P229 to replace it with, but the 96 works.
