Never failed in anything using WIn 230 factory ammo. With my reloads some will have light primer strike misfires. Put the misfired in a 1911 and they go bang. Love the gun but factory ammo too $. Been reloading 50 yrs and am aganist the wall this time.

Does anyone have a stronger hammer spring? If so this would affect the trigger pull a little?

cut a couple coils off the firing pin spring

remove the hammer spring and post pics of it with measurements.  Might be a simple fix to use one from an M9 or something like that.  I thought 24/7 was striker fired gun though

Is striker fire. Cutting spring may help. Look into this in a day or two. Thanks

Striker would need a stronger spring, not a cut one

Maybe try different primers for reloading?  It's been years, but I seem to remember that some primers were harder than others.

there is no hammer.  It is a striker fired gun.  You need a stronger firing pin or "striker" spring

Called spring by wrong name. Bought some Fed match primers to try, may be a day or 2.

Fed match primers 10 for10. Hope I found something that works. My son is coming for Christmas and will get him to clean the firing pin really good. Have been seeing factory grease is gummy.

Well he broke the plastic slide plug. Does this have to come from Taurus?

Lots of rounds through my PT 24/7 Pro with no problems, finally had a squib. Win white box 9mm.

Aside from hating the Heinie 8 sights, I've been very happy with the gun.

This is a Gen. 1 Taurus PT24/7 Pro .45? I didn't know Taurus was still supporting them as they are all recalled. If it is, I definitely would not mess with it once it starts malfunctioning. You can get $200 for it from Taurus. I kept mine because nothing was wrong with it and it functions perfectly.

Oops, see it was a 9mm. Same story anyway.
