I just got done shooting one.

Not as bad of recoil as I had anticipated. A couple fingers are bloody from the sharp edges on the frame. Now I know why some people wear gloves.

Anybody else have experience with this combo?

What load were you shooting?  Some pack more of a punch than others.  I have run an entire cylinder on a S&W 8” with the comp and one of the more aggressive heavy loads.  One cylinder was enough for me to know I did not want to shoot it anymore that day.  I like recoil but I do not care for the type that I am doing everything to maintain control and not have the pistol smack me in the face

I have one. The frame has drawn blood. I SBR'd it but never shot it with the stock on it. I always shot mine one handed because the trigger guard will smack your support hand and it hurts. I just wanted something different than the revolvers so I had Gary Reeder send me a barrel. Shortly afterwards they were available from TC for less money
