Picked this up yesterday to go with my .45 railed loaded Range Officer. I believe I’ll be carrying it after a few hundred rounds, so far it’s been very accurate and flawless. Recoil is crazy light even with the aluminum frame, double taps are smooth and fast.

Love the blued slide, it has everything I love in a 1911 for under $800. I did add an extra set of G10 grips I had laying around, I believe I’ll leave them on it. Talon grip tape too.

I've got a bunch of 9mm ammo that needs something to shoot through, and a stimulus stash burning a hole.

That's a nice looking gun.

That is a sharp gun.

Massad Ayoob did a writeup in Guns Magazine.  He seemed to like it.  If I were looking for another 1911 it would be on my radar.

Very nice. I like the 5" version but i hate front serrations on blued or stainless slides.

I have had one on back order from my distributor for the last 6 months. I keep waiting.

I bought the first one I found in stock locally. The 5" seems more common around here, I've not seen another commander on a shelf.

Everything I've seen for sale online is going for $8-900+. The wholesale cost is much less, so I wait. Buying it for a birthday present to my daughter.

I have a full size 9mm Ronin, shoots like a .22, not one malfunction since it was new, and better finished than my 1600 dollar Gold Cup Trophy.

I’m waiting patiently for a Ronin 45 Commander

Finally they are making real Commander sized guns instead of that 4.0” stuff.

Been thinking about one myself, they are on sale at a local shop.

I have a 4 in ro 9mm.  Is this a functional thing or purist thing?

Good looking gun. I know a lot of people love them but I haven't talked myself into a 9mm 1911.

It's more about being able to use a bushing and bushing barrel and GI style recoil system instead of being stuck with a bull barrel, reverse plug and FLGR... and it's easier to find replacement springs for Commanders over 4.0 guns.

Both in my opinion, I don't like them because they suck to take apart, finding parts etc. I want a commander for ccw, pasted on a kimber custom carry just because I hate the way the bull barrel looks and it looked like they used a angle grinder to taper it down, Looked like sh*t.

I think that is one of the best values out there for a 1911 right now ... I was planning on getting one but I am ending up with a Wilson Combat via a trade ...

Picked mine up in early December.  Love the gun !    Almost 1,000 trouble free rounds so far.  Like the Metalform mags - the ones that are "crimped" on the front edge. It's now my EDC.

Added an arched mainspring housing (all my 1911's have that) plus an extended mag release.  Talon grip tape on the front strap.

Now I'm looking for a 5 inch model.

Have you shot them? That's what it took for me.

I got a colt 9mm on trade and wasn't hot on it and figured I could trade it later. I took it to the range and that changed my mind, extremely accurate soft shooting. Attachment Attached File
