Looks like the 5000 "Commemorative Edition" guns are MSRP $1122 They're also going to add production versions with and without the manual thumb safety for $700ish. I'm looking forward to picking one of the production models up. I'd love one of the Commemorative versions, but that's a little too much $$$ for this kid. (Searched and didn't see anything current on this, my apologies if I missed another thread) |

More than an X series? Yeah, no thanks. I’d rather just get a full size and get it Cerakoted. Then it won’t have a ridiculous thumb safety.

Kind of wonder how collectible it may be? Whether or not to shoot it or just get the non mil version and shoot it, dang!
|
|
Looks pretty sweet I like the RMR set up in black it would be really cool
|
|
Looks cool, I am just getting into the P320 game and I like the colors on this.

Interesting that there still appears not to be any plans to produce a civilian variant of the M18. I'm sure there would be at least some similar market for it

I’m really digging that. Price isn’t horrible either on the $700ish one.

I expect to use the issue ones at some point in the future. Will be nice to have a commercial version to train with on my own time. Disappointed they insisted on buying another pistol with a manual safety that isn't needed
|
|
I was hot to jump on the Comm gun , I ran all over looking for one out , no gun shows had one around , now I may not get one kind of losing interest .

I called the master dealer I go to and he did not see any yet. I think this delay may have saved me 1000 bucks. I have 2 Sig 320 and one full size ex change kit . I do not think I need this one .

Have two preordered at Quantico on the mil list. Estimated for December

SIG makes a habit out of doing the press release / product announcement 3 to 6 MONTHS before the actual item hits the stores.

I have my M17 Commercial pre-ordered, DPP in the mail, and a Safariland 6390RDS in my gear box.
Dealer M17s are out there, so I'm hoping mine isn't too far behind. I'm going to buy an M18 when it comes out too. Hopefully we won't have to wait forever. Supposedly we'll (USCG) be getting those issued at some point in the next couple years. |

Looking at the M17 plates on the website they look identical on both versions while the X-Carry models look different. I'll be honest, I kinda want the Bravo model too... I wonder if I can get that for the same price as well. I like black handguns. |

The cut may be the same. But the sights look different between the Commemorative /Bravo and the FDE civi.
I got a Commemorative . Eventually, I'll get a Bravo or Civi to shoot. |

What has the street price for the commemoratives been, and have any of you called to obtain the coin / certificate or box?
|
|
Just got one of the M17 Civilian for $655 shipped at KY Gun Co.
Already got shipping confirmation! Will be here Friday! |
|
My shop only got a few of each in , I got to open and look at two Comm , and I picked the one I wanted , There was no difference in any way and the guns are packed very well . I will give mine a look over and wipe it down , and shoot the crap out of it , I will keep all paper work and the box , coin when I get it . Looks like they did a good job with these . Guys from other areas were trying to call to get one and could not . They told my shop the other shops were keeping them right now for there self .

My shop was getting calls for this gun from people that could not get a hold of one . This gun is a step up from the Beretta after 30 yr we needed a newer platform . I did not buy mine to sell . I still have the Beretta M9 that came out years ago in the brown box with belt , mag pouch,GI manual , it shipped in a big green show box , mine is all wore off , has the bar code sticker under the dust cover , looks like it was in the sandbox for a while .

I get mine Thursday. I paid $949/shipped for it. Some places on GB are selling for around mAPP at $1122. But I've see auctions go as high as $1900. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes |

So, to get all tan controls I have to pay $400 more for a commemorative edition? I'm gonna run that thing ragged, just gotta remember not to drop it...

I have 320FS. Tan even. If I want a clone I can get close with a new grip. But I don't care, my FS shoots great and I buy guns to shoot, a lot.

View Quote The real M17s do NOT have the trigger module / slide disconnect that was added to civy P320s as part of the "upgrade" program. I am not sure if the commemorative M17s have them or not. If they are legit M17s, they shouldn't have them. If they aren't, they will. |

Quoted: Supposedly, the Commemoratives are legit M17 pistols, built to the same specs, etc. The other major difference (as far as I know) is that the commemoratives have the same internal anti corrosion finish that the M17 has. But that's just a WAG. |

If true, this (along with the change to black controls) supports my theory that ECPs will be submitted and will result in the M17 becoming more like the M17 Commercial models. Can anyone who has the commemorative confirm if it has the slide disconnect like the post recall P320s or not?
