I’m trying to go through my collection and shoot my firearms that I’ve never shot.  Today was 4” 38 Special day……

Smith 10-7 and a Colt Diamondback:



Shot a couple hundred of my reloads.  4.1gr of HP-38 under an Acme 125gr coated TC.

The Diamondback sights were WAY off.  Horizontal was about dead on but the elevation was to the moon.  I’ve got it dialed in at 15 yards now.  Both were very smooth and overall very nice to shoot.  I wanted to not like the Diamondback but it’s pretty freaking accurate.  I still can’t warm up to the stacking DA pull though.  I just like the Smith DA pull much better.

My Diamondback is the sweetest shooting handgun I have.

I love mine too. And, though it has a factory main spry, it doesn’t stack like my other Colts.

No stacking on mine, no take up at all. And breaks like a 1/16” glass rod.

So sublime.
