With the current deal on Shield Plus Optic Ready bundles, I’m strongly considering making the move away from Glock.

However, the inability to directly mount a 507k is a PITA. I have an SMS2 but don’t love it and would prefer a Holosun.

My question is whether the mounting plate makes a 507k sit too high. How does it fit? Cowitness?

I have a shield plus optics ready and a 507k i am building as a demo in 30 sc. I'll get time later to mount it. I'll post pics later.

I have a Shield Plus 9mm with a Holosun 407K using a plate and a Shield Plus .30 with a 407K that is direct mount (S&W changed the mounting system). They both co-witness but of course the 9mm with the plate sits a few mm higher. There isn't enough of a difference for me to really notice when shooting them one after another.

Sand the nubs off one of the factory plates. Plates are very thin, only a couple of mm.

C&H makes a plate. It is very thin. About the height of the 4 posts. It makes the optic mount by the 2 bolts only. That bothered me. I went with the CT RAD Pro.

If you go with a manual adjust, how will you adjust in a defensive scenario? I’m assuming this is a ccw??

It fits fine with a c and h plate.
