Love my 92S, but the scars in the factory grips bug me. It’s nylon, I think, and somewhat soft.

Anyone have a method to clean up the scuffs and light scratches, and leave a glossy shine?

They match the rest of the pistol and tell a story of use.

You would not be able to remove the deep scratches/gouges without removing a lot of surface thickness.  For the lesser scratches (stay away from the checkering and letters/logo) start with like 600 to 800 grit paper and (gently/slowly) work your way up to like 3000 to 3500 grit (1000, 1200, 1500, etc...) wet sanding the last several if not all the grits. Then get a good plastic polish.  You are stuck with the deeper nicks, but you can clean them up a bit with careful work.
