We have one M&P Shield 9MM. Based on it's performance so far, if I were to buy myself a small 9MM it would be another Shield.
I'm a CZ guy. It's what I carry every day, every where. But that darn little Shield outshoots a bucket of other full sized 9MM pistols I own. Now you're making me go look to see what these are selling for. Got the same first aid kit (looks like it) in my bag but the pistol is a CZ75 Compact as it's the smallest 9 I've got (that's mine). |

The Shield is fantastic. Only made better with a Hyve aluminum trigger.

I'm a Glock guy but the Shield is a solid pistol. I should have bought half a dozen of the stupid things when they were dirt cheap.

UPS says mine should be at the FFL tomorrow. Hope so. I'll try to get to the range in a day or two to see how it likes the 115 grain hollow points that shoot well in my wife's Shield.

I think the marketing is goofy, but I carry a Shield as part of my carry rotation.
I actually own 2 Shields, a 1.0 and a 2.0. 1.0 is about to be upgraded with new sights some Apex Tactical parts. |

For .380, I carry a G42. I was carrying a Shield well before the G43 was available, so it’s become my 9mm subcompact of choice.
When I realized I had purchased over 20 mags for the Shield, and the salad days deals were so good, I grabbed the 2.0 as a spare. These days when people call, text or IM me about suddenly realizing they should have a small 9mm for carry purposes, I recommend either a Shield or a G43. I tell them best would be to shoot both and decide, next best is to handle both and decide snd lastly (these days) if they can just buy one or the other they’ll do okay. |

The Shield is a nice piece. They were a lot nicer when they were selling for just north of $200 vs. the $450 or so I've been seeing in the wild these days. For that kind of money I'd rather have an LEO trade in G22 and a bunch of mags.

I just bought a 2.0 Shield today also!!! Had a Gen 1 and gave it to my son last year and really missed it.
I even have a P365 and I still missed the Shield. I paid way more for this one than I did for the first one. I don't care. I know the sucker shoots good and I like it. I have three 8 rounders and the one 7 rounder. Ordered a US Gruntgear IWB holster today. Patrick |
