Hi guys!

What are the ballpark going price for pre hammer lock model 36s in great - mint condition?

I know it might vary by date of manufacture but I am just trying to get a rough estimate.

I am looking to pick one up.

Thanks!

I traded mine for a $1000 refrigerator.

So, $1000 would be the going rate.

I paid $125 in a divorce deal for the 36.  A refrigerator got him his gun back a couple years later.

In my neck of the woods, they are going for a pretty penny. In between $6-700 with no problems.

3-4 years ago... I bought a matching pair of 70's manufactured "Minty" M36's... One in Nickel (Just because) and one in Blue... No turn lines on cylinders and maybe never shot outside the factory even... from an Estate Sale. I gladly paid $525 each for them and would again tonight just to have them again... They don't make em' like they used to for certain. I have both new and old and the new ones took a bit of work to make em' perform similar to the one's of yesteryear.

The center two M36's are the ones I speak of OP. Their triggers in both DA and SA are superb as well as their machining and finishes and accuracy.

I paid $500 for this one a few years ago. I would also say $600-700 these days.

I bought a 3” model 60 at a local gun shop for $450 + tax.   The revolver had a little holster wear but hadn’t been shot much.   I knew the previous owner which made the revolver more desirable to me.   The model 60 I bought was manufactured around 1972.

I picked up a a fairly used one for 350 just a few weeks ago it runs decent but i am debating having it refinished. There was another one on the rack for the same price and it was in way worse shape, like considerable rust and broken taped together pimp grips. I almost picked that one up too
