Fresh refurb/Cerakote of one of my favorite pistols.  Hi Caliber Manufacturing in Ashland, VA did a great job on this pistol.  My camera doesn't capture the Magpul FDE color very well but it looks great in person.Attachment Attached File

Everyone and their 3rd cousin is Glock modding.  I went a different route.

Faxon Fire Arms precut slide. Rival Arms barrel. Wanted a matching Faxon barrel, but I couldn’t find any. Apex trigger up next maybe.

Mine is not interesting at all. Bone stock FDE 2.0, 5 inch. Shoots high and left but I print better groups with it than any other centerfire semi auto pistol I’ve tried yet

Basic M&P 2.0 Compact CORE in 9mm just picked up yesterday.

Short video of trigger pull right out of the box. I think it needs an Apex flat trigger now.

i live in california so i bought an extremely rare lnib version of that exact same specimen with thumb safety as well for triple msrp, i completed cleaned and embalmed it, greased the parts, and put it inside a closed cell foam cradle which now sits inside a locked pelican case.

for actual range use and home defense i bought a second m&p 2.0 again nearly triple msrp on consignment from a popular police trade in store:

Here's one with a story.

Early last year I got a letter from a Northern CA sheriff's office asking if I was the owner of a pistol listed on the letter.  I wasn't missing any guns but called them anyway.

Evidence Tech I talked to said it was an M&P 45 recovered at an illegal marijuana grow.  Well, I've had a couple over the years but both had been long sold.  Case was adjudicated.  Said I was listed as the last owner and if I wanted it I could have it.  Hell ya!

I jumped through the hoops required by CA DOJ and finally got a letter authorizing the SO to release the gun to me.  Did a day long road trip to CA and picked it up.

In between the 10 years or so of me selling it and getting it back someone had done a decent texture job on the grip and some trigger work.  Looks like it has an Apex sear and striker block.  The trigger breaks clean at 4 lbs.

Anyway, here it is.  It shoots great.  Think I'll keep it this time.

I’ve spent the past few days in the woods for CA muzzleloader season.  I’ve been carrying this M&P40 daily.

Pretty much the only time this pistol sees carry duty is during hunting season.

Please for the love of your Dog, remove that grip. You live in the communist Republic of California, your family doesn't deserve to feel this kind of pain. I hope this is a joke and you're just being ironic...

I’m positive that’s the reason people were staring at you at the range. Downright certain.

So when you clean it, do you take the optic and sights off the slide or do you take the rail mount off to remove the slide? And do you re-zero every time you reassemble it?

I wonder if S&W will sell the trigger at a good enough price that I wouldn't miss the APEX I would normally buy.

Look what Mrs. Santa left under the tree.

SKU 13567  9mm fullsize, tall sights, Optics Ready, and it's got the new trigger.

Shield Plus PC, I purposely bought the non OR model and had it cut.  I didn't want to pay an extra 200 for the CT dot that I wouldn't use.  Namelessarms did the cut and cerakote, had it back to me in less than 2 weeks.  They mounted, torqued and witness marked the dot screws as well.

They also break at damn near 90 degrees which is a plus for people with man sized hands.

Picked up a used 2.0 CORE from buds.
The trigger is super light, but damn it has the normal 500 miles of pre travel.
It is also loose as hell, I mean I don't expect Les Baer tightness, but still.
Hopefully get to shoot it in a week or two.

The " 500 miles of pre travel" drove me nuts too on my standard M2.0.  Set of Apex springs and sear eliminated all that.  Put on a set of Ameriglo sights while I was at it.
