@Will816 and anyone else with a red dot on theirs.

Getting ready to have my 4" milled, are you having issues with the round indicator and carbon and crap getting blown onto your front glass? Saw a post on Facebook about it, didn't know if that was an actual concern or not

Loaded Chamber Indicator will have to be removed. I haven't noticed any carbon on mine. Mine is a 5".

I picked this up last week.
9mm 2.0 in the 3.6” variety. Shot it yesterday and so far I’m impressed. But I did already order a Apex carry/duty kit and Trijicon HD’s.

@Burnsy87 sorry for the delayed response.

Mine doesn't have a loaded chamber indicator. I also haven't had any issues with carbon build up. It seems to stay fairly clean and I wipe it with a lens cloth after each session.

Switch from my Glock 19 gen 4 EDC AIWB gun to this new M&P 2.0 9m 4.25 FDE. The grip fits better in my hand than my last EDC Glock 19. It's easier for my thumb to reach the mag release. I now easily shoot straight instead of slightly to the left like with the Glock 19. If I don't make the slight compensation adjustment with my grip and trigger finger with the Glock 19, it will slightly shoot to the left due to my index finger lenght, hand size and the design of the gun. This is personal so not everyone will experience this. This M&P2.0 is the right gun for me.
Trigger is much improved over the first gen. I'm never getting rid of my Glock 19, it will be my backup gun. I'll practice with it every now and then.

On another topic, the color of the gun pretty much blends in with the terrain

I wrote about carrying this gun in my Dark Star Gear holster, for those who might be interesting in AWIB carry of full size or just AWIB in general considering checking my article out AIWB carry and holsters

Do what I did: get rid of the G19 and get another M&P.

Haven't regretted it yet, and the chick that bought the G19 is still happy with it.

You boys don't know how good you have it with the factory grip texture on the newer M&Ps. In my day, we had to put a billion little dots into our guns using a wood burning tool with a fine tip.

Na, it's a backup, think smart. Maybe it will be worth a lot when the real SHTF happens.

Swapped to a 20lb recoil spring in my Gen 1, significantly smoother recoil with the Osprey and my 147gr reloads. Recoil was harsh and slide was moving way too quickly with the standard recoil spring, this is back to the normal speed and the muzzle stays flatter. Osprey used to throw crap back in your face, that problem has also been eliminated. I've got a couple of M&Ps with compensators and lighter recoil springs in them. This isn't quite as tame recoil-wise, but it's way closer than I could have reasonably expected

New to me M&P vtac the sights are kinda funky with the 6 dots, but I'm going to be sending it off to be milled for my RMR soon.

Got my first S&W ever.

M&P 45 M2.0. I gotta say I'm super impressed, it's literally a 9mm with .45 crammed into it. Basically the same size as my X-Carry.

That is fucking slick! The milling appears to be ATEi, what was the base gun? FDE refinished in Black nitride, 5" Spec, or 2 .0 CORE?

How do you like the Osprey? I want one, but mostly only over other cans for looks.

I like it, but its also the only 9mm can I've shot so I have nothing to compare it too.

I loves my M&Ps.  I rotate between these two for everyday carry.

The 9L I got in 2006 and it's somewhere north of 40k rounds by now.  Had to replace a couple of strikers and some recoil springs over the years, but it still runs great.

Slide work on both guns was done by ATEi.   Both have Apex duty/carry kits and triggers.

Centering the front sight in the window will get the job done at self defense range. If I don't like it, I'll have it milled for a glock sight in front of the rmr.

This is what happens when you aren't micro managing every last new-to-guns person at the range.

I was teaching a friend technique in how to hold the pistol, stand, and all of that.  Meanwhile, his out of town friend is behind us fuck'n with my M&P's which I had apart because I was showing them how ported vs non ported felt.

He asks me "hey can I put the barrel in so I can shoot this one next"?  I said "SURE", not anticipating that this dumb shit wouldn't match ports with ports.  Something I would had figured was complete common sense.  Guess not!

So he shoots it and...

Boy I wanted to slap the shit out of him but luckily enough the three guys I had with me, all being friends, all went in three ways to replace it.

But until I get it back, I decided to chop my other FS M&P so I can conceal carry with it.  I love how these guns are so versatile, going from conceal, to sidearm, to what is essentially a pistol caliber carbine, or sub gun.

It's amazing how accurate and fast I can be with the MCK.

Anyway, if anyone has a spare frame, I will buy it.  If you're looking to sell your M&P, PM me.

I wonder what a 2.0 would have looked like. it looks like the steel chassis is what kept the gun together at the grip.
