Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - S&W 44 leather holster recommendations

I'm in the market for a nice leather holster for my 629. I'm pretty sure its a 5" barrel and I want something for outdoor use without going full on "hunting holster". Something that would look nice on a leather EDC belt with a sheath knife.

I’ve got a Milt Sparks #200 for my 329 PD.  Retention is very good and quality is typical Milt Sparks.

I’ve also got a couple of Mernickle Leather holsters for a Ruger Vaquero and a Smith and Wesson Model 65.  Retention the Vaquero is “so so” but the M65 holster is tight.

I like both holster makers.  I think you can get the Mernickle much quicker.
