I've never shot one but am interested in them myself.  I have the stainless Mark IV Target but am thinking about trading it off to get a Lite.

I don’t have a mkIV but I love my mkiii’s.  Great pistols!  I love the new gold and black/gold models!  If I wasn’t so invested in mkiii magazines, I’d get a mkIV for sure!

I shot a friends $80 buckmark with a RDS on it and said, you know what, I need a fun little race-esque .22. Way too much money later and I really like the little thing. Im not a fan of the safety and after being all glock all the time for so long Im still having to re-train myself to grip it how it needs to be but they are good guns. If they were priced around $350 I think they would be as ubiquitous as the 10/22.

Bought one last year.

I really like it.  Eats just about everything.
Trigger kinda blows. But I'm getting used to it.

Get the McFadden mag loader.  Its awesome

I had a MK III 22/45 Lite and loved it except for the disassembly/reassembly procedure. I sold it because of that but wouldn’t hesitate to pick up the MK IV version. It’s a great shooting gun.

Mk IV is sooo easy to disassemble.  Easier than a AR.

I've never had an issue with the previous MKs but frankly I'd never go back.  I like simple.

Thats the thing.  They are $350.  Less fancy models are $270.  And just like the 10/22, people spend way too much money pimping them out.  You can get on brownells and buy all the parts to build a 10/22 without buying a single Ruger part.  And you can spend $1k without even trying.  Its the same story with the 22/45.

I had the same gripes about the MkIII as others with the takedown and cleaning. It didn't take but about 200 rounds or so suppressed till the mag springs started to hang up causing misfeeds. Sold my MkIII lite and bought the MkIV lite. Now granted the same thing happens with the MkIV but I can spray a little oil in the mags and pop off the top and clean/re-lube in seconds and I'm back to shooting. So much simpler

Man.  Some of you are either just looking for internet arguments or bad at reading.  Maybe you guys need to get laid more or something.
I was talking 22/45 mkIV in general, and that they can be had for $270.

I thought they used the same magazine? Or do you mean the standard vs the 22/45?

The mkiii 22/45 has a different magazine from the mkIV 22/45.  So dumb ruger didn’t keep the same mag.

I've had a mark II, mark III and now a mark IV 22/45 lite. I love the disassembly and the looks on this one the best of all of them. Its new design and looks are very creative and cool.   shoot suppressed usually and can't get enough.  I have to go get more ammo tomorrow for a Tuesday lunchtime range trip.  It really does put more smiles on faces than any other gun I have. I wouldn't hesitate recommending it.  It's bronze although it looks red in the picture, and the pic doesn't do it enough justice.

I have a MK4 lite and absolutely love it. It usually has an element 2 on it.

I do want to pimp it out some day, but other things are taking priority right now.

I have the regular 22/45 mkiv and love it. It’s very reliable, more so than I thought a rim fire pistol could be. If I’m shooting quality ammo and the gun isn’t overly dirty it will just run and run usually. I ran it to the point where I was getting light primer strikes because the firing pin was so fouled up with carbon. The amount of gunk that came out of there was unbelievable. Probably close to 1,000 or more rounds and then I cleaned it and it was back to new again. I did lube it a few times before cleaning to keep it running. The trigger kinda sucks but that can be fixed. The sights are adequate but I really need to upgrade to some fiber optic. You wont regret it.
