Hello,
I have a xd40 sub compact.  I field stripped it yesterday after a rainy hike.  I noticed a slight burr/ rolled edge on the bottom of the ejector.  It’s not simply a burnish mark but rather a burr.

It looks like the mag hits that spot.

Just polish and not worry?

I probably wouldn't even do that. It doesnt seem like its rubbing on anything or affecting function.

ETA: I just looked at my XD40sc, has the exact same wear mark.

My XD-9 with 10.5k rounds through it has the same mark, in the same place.

I think it’s normal OP

Just looking at it, I'm thinking that the magazine probably makes a bit of contact with the ejector during firing as the frame flexes a bit under the recoil impulse.

It’s definitely a burr not a burnish.

The inside  edge of mag is very close so under recoil could be what causes like suggestions above.
