I did a search and saw a post from 2017 that shows a popular rambling YouTube video of a guy playing with the safety he took out of his Shield and which tab to cut off so the sear pin doesn't move.

I'm looking for insight from someone that removed their safety and installed the frame plug. Does the frame plug prevent the sear pin from moving?

I've not done it, but I wanted to make sure you know that you can buy them with or without the safety.

install the hyve trigger and don't grind the end of the trigger bar and it disables the safety. That's what I did. The HYVE trigger is unreal.

Do they even make a frame plug for the Shield? I believe that, unlike the larger M&Ps, the Shields have different frame molds.
