I can’t speak to the .40, but my CPO 9mm looks brand new. Supposedly some of them were brand new guns that were traded back to sig after the recall, rebuilt, and were never actually sold.

My CDNN Red Box P320F looked absolutely new.
The trigger pulled at 4lbs as well. |
