Subject says it. Where can you find one? Haven't yet called FN but threads in other forums from years ago mentioned they also don't any left. FN's after market support sucks...

Try Midwest gun works

ETA: I didn’t see any on there. Is it the same as the FNX? I don’t believe it is but can’t recall..

I had seen the rumor that the FNX assembly fits but never a feed back if that is really the case. Might be worth trying.

Can you post a pic of your FNP9 spring?

Can't, don't have any image space.
Dimensions are 72mm long, Guide rod front plug end is 7.1mm diameter, rear plug end is 10.5mm diameter. Sorry, I am metric

In general it looks a lot like the one in the posts above

FNP-9 recoil assemblies are hen's teeth. Let me know if you find anything. Also, see my thread on the fire control group repair. FN took care of it well enough.

You got a picture of the new parts?
I think I will risk $25 and see if the FNX spring assembly works.

So I bought both versions of the above assembly.
Looking at these and the one (discontinued) for the FNP-45, all have the same pictures. I hope it will fit.

Good news everyone, I had ordered both and both fit physically perfect. The 40/9mm version is a little bit stiffer then the pure 9mm version. Need to check how they function with ammo but the dimensions are correct and fit the FNP-9. So FNX and FNP seem to have the same recoil assembly.
Will report down the road how they cycle when I have a chance to do so.

This is good info, I knew the FNP-45 and FNX-45 use the same RSA, but wasn't sure about the 9mm FNP/X. My mom has an FNP-9 and AFAIK has never changed the recoil spring.

The new recoil assembly is stiffer what I would expect with a used gun of unknown round count and the old assembly. Works perfect.
Since it is a flat recoil spring I would expect to be able to run maybe 5k rounds through it when FN did their homework

@darg508

Apologies for taking my time. I don't have a before picture, but there may be one in the other thread or a link. I'll look later. Here is the requested pic.

Thanks, looks like mine seem to have all the metals already.

Pretty happy with the new assembly too.

I returned to the thread on the FN forum. The part is still plastic, but I think a little more reinforced. This isn't mine, but accurately depict what mine did.
