I would like to try an RMR type RDS on my G34.

A LGS, Who I trust, have seen their gun smithing and machining work, told me he do mine for a $100.00, but it would take a few weeks because of backlog of work.

Once the slide has been milled or whatever, the RMR just sits flat on the factory slide and it secures with two or three small screws right?

Or what am I missing if more too it?

Also,  what all is involved in sighting it in, pretty similar to another RDS on a Rifle or a Scope?

***Edited to Bring attention to the main question***

If there’s 3 screws you have a problem

www.Battlewerx.com is quick and good and cheap. Sent many a Glock slide to them.

Yes zeroing is just the same.

Check out maple leaf firearms. They offer nitride and cerakote as well. Two screws to mount the optic, zero process is the same as any other red dot type sight.

my G17.3 was done by BattleWerx a couple of years ago... the machining for my Trijicon RMR2 was so precise that at first I thought it was bad...the sight had to be precisely lowered... the concave end machining both centers the sight in the slide, and provided a recoil lug to absorb recoil shock... I perceive that the screws (BattleWerx) machines the screw holes in the alignment stud to be just to hold the sight down... I did install one of their anti flicker plates... I finished mine with cold blue...I change the battery on my birth day

they most likely will be doing a G34.3 slide for a Holosun 507c v2
