I was looking around at RMR / Holosun mounting options for an L-frame S&W and came across this Trijicon mount for the X-Frame:
https://www.trijicon.com/products/details/rm46

Does anyone know if this mount would also fit on an L-frame?  I'm liking this mount because it pushes the dot just a little further forward, but mostly because it also has recoil bosses built into it to help protect the screws (not as big of an issue on a revolver, but every little bit helps).

Thanks!

I am not sure about the top strap hole pattern on the X-Frame guns but EGW makes a mount that replaces the rear sight that has the bosses for the red dot and has a recoil boss on the back of the mount to keep the stress off of the mounting screws.

With the rear boss in place the hold down bolt never sees the full shear stress of the recoil so it isn't likely a failure prone part. I have the same mount on my Redhawk and it is quite solid.

I have a mount similar to the X-Frame mount on my BFR that moves the dot forward a bit. I am still not 100% sold on the positioning. It makes finding a holster that fits much more difficult.
