Having trouble with slide, i can't get it pulled all the way back to chamber a round or far enough to engage slide lock. Never had this issue before, only difference right now is my location in the states and humidity. I used to live in Texas but now live in Tennessee.

I took the slide off and checked to make sure spring wasn't messed up but didn't see anything wrong with it. I'll do it again with better lighting to look for it hanging up somewhere.

What does the recoil spring guide look like?

Just took mine apart and tried to induce a failure. The only thing I can think is your recoil spring assembly is broken or you have a foreign object in there somewhere.

I'd give it a full cleaning but i don't have money to get any cleaner. Best I can do right now is wipe it and regrease. I'll work on that today if I can find the lube. Hard to find anything after our move since most has to stay packed up so nieces and nephews don't get into it.

I found out the issue was the aftermarket trigger I had installed. I had to pull it back out and use a file on the front just a little because it was just a hair out of spec. It's back in and everything is as it should be.
