Hi arfcom

I’m looking for a price check on an older PPK/S. This appears to be a Smith and Wesson era model.

I don’t think it was used much. I have the opportunity to buy it off a family member who is getting rid of a collection. This is my opportunity to wear a tuxedo and pretend to be a secret agent.

Around here they go for 7 to 8 hundred on the used market.

Sorry, can't help you on current market value. I do think you'll like it, though my PPK (and TPH) were Interarms (made in Arkansas, I believe). A good friend likely inspected your potential purchase, he did QA on PPKs at the Houlton plant (about half an hour from my camp) for 20 years.

I'm assuming that it's in .380?  The .32acp pistols are going for a premium well above .380 prices among collectors these days.
