I hadn't shot in a couple months just given life and the cold ... didn't do any dry fire or anything either.
Did some shooting last weekend with dot and it was like riding a bike. Present - dot - bang. Solid hits. The dot gives confidence. |

Any advice on refinishing a ceracoated slide after getting it machined for a dot? As in the slide is currently ceracoted and I want to get it machined. Does that complicate the refinish process?

Once it’s machined, they’ll media blast the slide to prep it for whatever finish you want after the machine work. I had Jagerwerks nitride a slide that had been previously ceracoated. |

I think I'm going to get one of my 1911s milled for an RMR. While I'd like to get the Chambers Custom plate/milling, it appears they are out of stock, and attempts to contact them have so far proved unsuccessful. As my fall back option I think I'll end up going with the Trijicon plate. Does anyone here have any first-hand knowledge or experience with Southwest Precision Arms for the machine work? If not, do you have any suggestions for the necessary 1911 cut?
Thanks |

PSA on Romeo 1 Shroud Kit: I got a new Romeo 1 Pro on a 320 XF and ordered the Romeo 1 shroud kit after reading on Sig’s www that the kit is for both optics. The screws that came with the kit didn’t work so I contacted CS and they said to use the original screws that came with the pistol. They said the screws with the shroud are for the slides cut for the Romeo 1. |

Recommend the 45, alot more recoil control imo then i have with a 19. Plus 2 more rounds is cool!

GL-429 sights are good for a milled slide, not sure if they are high enough for a MOS. The RMR will serve you well. |
