I have a PSA Dagger and sometimes it won’t eject- the spent case will still be the chamber with the slide locked (jammed) back. Should I replace the extractor or is it something else? The case isn’t stuck because in chamber as I can get it out easily. It’s almost like the spring isn’t strong enough or something?

Id look at the spring and make sure you have some tension on the extractor, make sure that channel is clean and the extractor has freedom of movement. Look at the extractor and if you have an extra, if all the above is OK... trade it and see if that solves the problem.

Make sure that extractor is free to function like its supposed to be.

Ive seen 2 springfield 1911s and one Prodigy with metal chips from machining in the Extractor tunnels in the last two years so check everything.

1. Clean the pistol thoroughly, especially the extractor and the extractor channel.

1.A. Inspect the ejector.

2. Properly lubricate the pistol according to the manual.

3. Try other types of ammo and see if the issue goes away

3.A. With what kind of ammo did the malfunctions occur?

Larry, the question has meaning even though you don’t understand it.

My first thought as well, optic mounting screw interfering with extractor depressor (rod behind the extractor) movement.
