Been wanting to order a short slide release for my P30L LEM. Looks like HK parts is out of stock now that I am finally able to buy one
 I am seriously considering taking my Dremel tool to the slide release to make it shorter. Am I fool? Saving $80 is huge. Plus it would be a fun project. Potential dremel progress thread

Have you called HK directly? They should be able to help you out and have a lot of parts not listed on their website. HKparts is way overpriced, should cost ~$40 not $80.

I just did my 3 in the last month...major grip access improvement for me with my support hand palm on the frame. I'm not sure if it was me that did this OOS, but it was the best price I found of $25 from the S model which is shorter. |

I cut mine down. Hit it with some cold blue and it looks fine. No longer have issues with my thumbs forward grip.
