For those who carry an extra mag, not in pocket, what's your favorite method?  What gun, where on body, what equipment etc.   Looking for general ideas wearing average clothing.  Obviously winter makes it simple but spring and summer are different.   Iwb or owb mag carriers under a shirt?  Does it work or does it print too much?  Does the mag base pad make any difference?  I've always used my pocket, like many people, but its definitely an imperfect way to do it for several reasons.   Not looking for magic, just curious what people have come up with

AIWB. Either standalone in a kydex holder or piggybacking on the holster.

Factory Glock carrier at 8 o’clock. I’ve tried all sorts of boutique kydex and leather but the $10 Glock pouch is the most comfortable, best concealing I’ve found.

Generally OWB strong side and spare kydex single mag carrier off side at work.  Both hand made when I was in Astan.

BLADE TECH TOTAL ECLIPSE

I have these on my weakside belt and they can be used IWB or OWB.  They have stout clips that latch on the belt and do not move. I have a set og single and double for my duty and off duty gun (G45 and 43X)

Weak side OWB under my shirt.  I'll use the Alien Gear single I got when I first started carrying, or a Blackhawk!!!!!!!!! double carrier.

I carry either a CZ PCR (cool weather) or RAMI BD (warm weather).  I carry them both IWB at 4:00 and a spare magazine also IWB at 11:00.  I use the same magazine carrier for either which is a JMCK single AIWB mag pouch.  I carry a spare 15 round magazine regardless of pistol, but the RAMI has the required spacer due to its short grip making it slightly more bulky.

I carry IWB since I need to be discreet in some locations and the JMCK is quite comfortable with the clip and slight cant for when seated.  I would buy again and recommend.

Extra mag at the 1030-11 oclock.  I use an old DSG single mag kydex carrier that I just reversed to carry iwb.  Its got the big fomi clip on it so it works pretty well.  I really do need to replace it with some DDC clips.

If I get any more mag pouches the Henry Holsters foldover ones look like a good deal.

Since posting this ive been using a wilson combat double mag pouch for 1911 mags.  It fits my glock 43x/48 mags very well and I dont really shoot 1911s and I wouldn't carry one so even if it stretches it im ok with that.   If I were thinner I dont think I'd notice it was on my belt on my left side in front of my hip but when I sit down I can feel it.  I like the look of the blade tech single mag pouch someone posted above ill probably try that.  Im glad there are so many people out there willing to put in the effort.  Im not super concerned about capacity I just want another mag incase I have to clear a malfunction.

Magholder, it’s a kydex horizontal mag pouch, I wear it around 11:00, have them for several mags, haven’t found anything better.

If your magazine is a single stack 9mm or smaller, try using a standard belt scabbard for a folding knife.  Have used a spare knife scabbard for a cz50 on the offside where the pistol is worn IWB.

I have two spare mags OWB under my shirt. I can only legally OC my PF940v2 at the moment so there's no issue with an OWB mag carrier for me.

Can't wait for someone here to attack me for OCing

Speaking of repurposing sheaths meant for other things, I managed to stuff a G19 mag into a Leatherman sheath.  I havent carried it that way because it is just too thick IMO, but it would be neat to have a mag holder that doesn't look like a mag holder.
